'THE EMPEROR OF PARIS'
FIRST POSTER FOR VINCENT CASSEL PERIOD SET FILM
Speaking of Olga, check out the first poster for another of her movies that are coming out this year. THE EMPEROR OF PARIS (L'Empereur de Paris) also stars Vincent Cassel. Under the reign of Napoleon, François Vidocq,
the only man to have escaped from the biggest prisons
of the country, is a legend of the Parisian underground. Left to die
after his last spectacular escape, the ex-convict tries to be forgotten
in the guise of a simple trader. His past caught him, however, and,
after being accused of a murder he did not commit, he offered a deal to
the chief of security: he joined the police to fight the underworld, in
exchange for his freedom. Despite exceptional results, it provokes the
hostility of his fellow police officers and the fury of the underworld
who put his head at a price ...

Stunning trailer for 'Dans la Brume', and Romain Duris is a grea tactor imho...ouch, busy news with Genghis Khan also, and the Emperor of Paris...Eclectic and interesting!
ReplyDeleteI knew the French will arrive first to comment :) Now, if only some Mongols would drop by too :P
DeletePretty foreboding!
DeleteI know what you mean!
DeleteDans La Brume looks great. I've been immersing myself back into French lately so I can hold a decent conversation when we are in Paris. Trying to brush up on what I learned 20 years ago. I can understand it quite well, but hopefully nobody asks me to spell anything because writing it is a whole other story for me lol
ReplyDeleteHope you won't be greeted by an apocalyptic fog when you get there :)
DeleteI'll be one pissed off lady if it isn't blue skies and sunshine for the duration of our trip.
Deleteyou should check the forecast, I know they announced a very hot spring and it has been close to 30*C this morning in my yard, very weird since we had snow only a couple of weeks ago. Oh, how I hate summer...
DeleteI'm okay with hot. It friggin snowed here today. We're on spring break, but it's snowing! BS!
DeleteI've heard :) I think it snowed in UK too. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets cold again here as well, but currently it is almost like summer... daffodils are in full bloom, first tulips have opened too and also violets...I hate it :P
Deleteaaah.. all these international are awesome! I love to check out the Emperor of Paris. I've seen some version of the Genghis Khan movies and I like them as well.
ReplyDeletethere were a few Genghis movies in last ten years!
