EPIC SATURDAY: 'RED SONJA' TO GET A NEW MOVIE, 'LORD OF THE RINGS' TO BECOME TV SERIES?

  'RED SONJA'
TO GET HERSELF A NEW MOVIE
We're all epic, today, people, beginning with the news that Millennium Media is preparing a movie on RED SONJA with Cinelou! The
Red Sonja has appeared in more than 100 comics
potential franchise will be based on Robert E. Howard's character of the fierce, sword wielding female warrior with red hair and scant outfits. She was last time turned into a movie with Brigitte Nielsen back in the 80s!
LORD OF THE RINGS TV SERIES?
Meanwhile, Tolkien's estate is apparently looking to turn LORD OF THE RINGS into a new TV series and they're asking $200-250 million for it (just for the limited rights), as Deadline reports. They will try to shop it to Amazon, HBO or Netflix, which are all interested, but Amazon (who is known for throwing insane money on projects nobody watches) is, apparently, leading the race since the cost of just one season wouldn't be under $100 million.  As you know, there is also a movie on Tolkien himself, currently in works, with Lilly Collins and Nicholas Hoult!

  1. I wonder what Tolkien would think. I also remember that old movie with Brigitte Nielsen :)

  2. I don't remember that movie with Brigitte Nielsen- but the animated character certainly looks like a beautiful, well put together warrior. Earrings and everything!

  4. I couldn't even sit through the movies, so I doubt I'd get into a t.v. series on Lord of the Rings. Though, I am sure it would delight many if it ever gets off the ground.

    1. it would me, but only if they do it right with good cast and without Peter Jackson, he ruined Hobbits and lost his mojo.
