1ST IMAGE FROM KENNETH BRANAGH'S 'CINDERELLA' WITH LILY JAMES, CATE BLANCHETT, RICHARD MADDEN! COLIN FARRELL, PAULA PATTON, TRAVIS FIMMEL FOR 'WORLD OF WARCRAFT' FILM! THE BEST AND WORST DRESSED AT EMMY 2013 AWARDS!

WORLD OF WARCRAFT FILM
COLIN FARRELL, TRAVIS FIMMEL, PAULA PATTON, ANSON MOUNT
Sometime ago I've informed you about famous computer game WORLD OF WARCRAFT being transformed into a big screen movie and now the first rumours on the possible cast have started: Colin Farrell and Paula Patton are the first names mentioned for the lead male and female roles in the film to be directed by Duncan Jones. Blizzard Entertainment's Warcraft universe is a rich fantasy setting that revolves around the epic conflict between the opposing forces of the Horde and the Alliance in a medieval like world filled with gryphons, dragons, zombies, werewolves and elves . Other candidates for the roles are also Paul Dano (12 YEARS A SLAVE), Anton Yelchin (STAR TREK), Travis Fimmel (VIKINGS) and Anson Mount (HELL ON WHEELS).

EMMY 2013 FASHION REPORT
THE BEST DRESSED
So whom did you like and whom didn't you like at Sunday's Emmy 2013 red carpet? I'm afraid the list of the bad dressed is much longer this year than of those who arrived with style. If you ask me Linda Cardellini had absolutely no competition as the loveliest lady of the evening. She looked stunning in her purple gown reminiscent of a blooming peony! Also not looking bad were three ladies in fiery red - scorching hot Sofia Vergara with plunging cleavage,  pregnant Morena Bacarin who was sweet and simply shinning and Kaley Cuoco in her lacy floating burgundy gown.
THE SIMPLE ONES
Opting for simple and minimalistic style were Colbie Smulders in sleek white gown, Padma Lakshmi in refined Greek style dress, Emilia Clarke in delightful white dress with metallic belt, and Rose Byrne in rose gown.
THE WORST DRESSED
The absolute horror of the red carpet was undoubtedly Zosia Mamet (I've no idea who the girl is) who truly looked chaotic in the floral gown with the clumsy dark top. Lena Dunham takes the second place among the horrid gowns in the floral monster of a gown, followed by Lena Headey in tasteless mix of black lace and white shoes. Claire  Danes continues looking washed out, while Heidi Klum continues dressing in a sex shop. Mayim Bialik, Zooey Deschanel and Connie Britton stole dresses from their grannies. Michelle Dockery in Prada, Amanda Peet and Emily Deschanel looked deeply awkward in their monotonous and highly uninspired choices for the evening.Click on all the pics to see them bigger!

  1. I'm not a dressy dressy gal. Though I do like some dresses, these are too fancy for me. Wonder if they are comfortable sitting, or maybe that doesn't so much matter.

    1. I always wonder how do you sit in those ballgowns or in those extremely tight ones....

    2. And the ones where all belly shows?

I dunno. Suppose that's the price of being rich and famous.

    3. there were lots of naked bellies and other body parts, even seminaked boobs from all sides :)

    4. and lots of them decided to show underwear through seethrough gowns...

    5. I think if one must show one's tits to get attention at an event like this, one's career may be in trouble:)

      Delete
    6. or in today's world, one's career might start with it, as we;ve seen now with Miley Curys who rubbed her vagina at MTV awards and is now suddenly the biggest star in music world...... 'It's a sad world, dear

    7. you are blessed for not knowing, dear!
She's an ex Disney kid star who is now barely 20 and she rubbed her still undeveloped vagina during her perfomance at MTV awards a few weeks ago. Even though she was ridiculed for it, the sales of her songs shot up hight and she now has hundreds of millions of viewings of her stupid videos at YouTube. In most of those videos she shows of her also undeveloped almost teenage body..... It is seriously disturbing.....

  2. Do I have to turn my geek card in if I say I've never played WORLD OF WARCRAFT?
I might just see the Film, maybe that will count.

  4. Lena Dunham needs to find a better stylist, someone to flatter her figure and not the opposite. I like the ladies in red too

    1. I think she dressed herself, have you noticed the horrid green shadow above her eyes? What a truly tasteless touch....

  5. I loved your take on the Emmy dresses Dezzy!!!! However, I actually adored Zooey's gown. To me she looks like she's wrapped up like the pretty little package she is.

  7. For me Lena Dunham was the worst, and I knew it wouldn't be one of your favourite either, haha! I also don't like Lena Headey, she looks too much like an evil witch, and I think that with her role in GoT she should try and look nicer in official ceremonies, don't you think?

My favourite among your favourites might be Kaley Cuoco, the dress is beautifully worn, the cut and colour are just right!

    2. Dunham always dresses like that if I remember correctly (I know her only from these award shows).
Yep, evil witch indeed, especially with the shoes, and the tattoo on her foot :)

  8. I'm surprised Helen Bonham Carter is playing the Fairy Godmother. She usually plays the wicked parts. I liked Sofia Vergara's dress. Very pretty!

    1. I think Helena will enjoy the part deeply and so will we most probably :)

    2. I agree, she can totally be either a demon or an angel, just look at her in "Big Fish", Burton definitely thought she could nail both. Also in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" she is an almost stereotypical loving sweet mommy ^^

      Delete
    3. and she plays the mommy in MR. SPIVET too which I spotlighted last Sunday

  9. I'm surprised they've taken on WOW as a movie. That's opening up a can of worms because the gamers are going to be hard to please, I think. Sofia Vergara is always stunning. Even in sweats.

  10. I played World of Warcraft for years and loved it. The movie will suck big time. There's no way they can translate the fun of that game into a big motion picture without it being horribly cheesy.

    1. hope they don't go for STAR WARS type cheesy visuals and makeup, but for LOTR type

  11. I have a soft spot for Sofia and what were Lena and Lena thinking?

    1. oh, and I imagined the spot wouldn't be soft for Sofia :P

  12. Another Cinderella movie? I want to roll my eyes and say that one has been so played out, but this one has Helena Bonham Carter, who I love. So, now I have to decide if I want to sit through yet another Cinderella movie. Decisions, decisions... And Haley has the best dress, imo!

  14. I didn't see the Emmy, but wow, Linda Cardellini dress is amazing. However, I'm not a fan of the side split in Padma Lakshmi's dress. But I agree with you on the rest. (:

    1. Cardellini's gown is stunning and creative, isn't it? A whole different league from the rest of the dresses

  15. I'm looking forward to Cinderella as I like Branagh so well. He never fails to do something interesting.

Kaley is the Hubby's gal and she looks good here. I'm not sure what think about Claire Dane's dress. It can't seem to make up it's mind about whether it's a window drape or a table cloth.

I've no idea who Lena Dunham is, but Jaysus what was the woman thinking. It's nice to see a full figured woman on the red carpet, but really she shouldn't wear a carpet.

    1. We do love Branagh, and Blanchett, and it will be interesting to see him working again with Helena since they were an item back in the old days :)

Danes always wears sacks. She is kinda like Gwyneth Paltrow who also always emphasizes what she shouldn't on her body.

    2. I didn't know they were ever an item. I only know about his marriage to Emma Thompson.

      Paltrow makes me ill.
