With Christmas ahead of us next week, Hollywood is already planning their festive offer for next year and among them will be THE MAN WITH THE BAG the latest holiday comedy movie from Adam Shankman and today you can see the first image with Alan Ritchson and Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story of the new film follows Santa Claus as he turns to his naughty list to recruit Vance (Ritchson) with the aim of retrieving his magic bag and saving Christmas. Amazon MGM Studios is producing currently in New York.

It is coming soon to the small screens, so MGM+ has released a teaser trailer for NINE BODIES IN A MEXICAN MORGUE series with Eric McCormack. The six episode series which will also air on BBC, follows nine strangers who find themselves lost in a remote Mexican jungle after their small plane, traveling from Guatemala to the U.S., crashes. One by one, the survivors are murdered, leaving the remaining passengers to solve the terrifying mystery before they too fall victim to the killer.

SEASON FIVE CHRISTMAS EPISODE

Arriving December 23rd to Channel 5 is traditional Christmas episode of ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL. In season five's festive episode,Skeldale House prepares for Christmas, and Jimmy’s first birthday, without the usual festive treats available. Mrs Hall (Anna Madeley) has figured out how to deliver the ideal Christmas, but when her world is rocked by a worrying news bulletin, the Skeldale family do their best to support her. A young boy arrives at the surgery with an abandoned fox cub and Mrs Hall can’t help feeling a connection with the animal. Meanwhile, Tristan (Callum Woodhouse) is given an important Royal Army Veterinary Corps mission involving pigeons. He is underwhelmed by the task and Siegfried (Samuel West) sends him to Enoch Sykes, a cantankerous pigeon fancier. Tristan’s attempt to win over Enoch’s trust doesn’t go to plan. Helen (Rachel Shenton) and James (Nicholas Ralph) prepare for Jimmy's birthday tea at Heston Grange, but Helen has to deal with some family disagreements. When the fox needs veterinary help, Siegfried faces a difficult decision as to how best to care for the animal, whilst also looking after Mrs Hall.

As Deadline reports, the team behind The Brutalist is preparing a new period set musical movie ANN LEE and have set Amanda Seyfried as the lead of an epic fable about religious leader Ann Lee, the founding leader of the Shaker Movement, who was proclaimed by her followers as the female Christ and went on to build one of the largest utopian societies in American history. Lee and her followers worshiped through exuberant song and dance. She was born in England in 1736 but in 1774 she and a small group of her followers emigrated to New York where Lee continued to become a prominent and powerful figure. Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman, Christopher Abbott, Tim Blake Nelson are also in the cast.

SAM CLAFLIN'S HISTORICAL EPIC TV SERIES

The series is hitting small screens this month

As of last week, December 11th to be more precise, over at Italian broadcaster RAI and French national broadcaster France TV,   Mediawan's English language historical series THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO with Sam Claflin and Jeremy Irons has officially started airing and will also hit Swiss national broadcaster RTS1 tonight, and in Sweden it will air on STI Play from December 18th. It will also air on TV3 in Russia and on BBC sometime next year directed by Palme d'Or and Oscar winner Bille August who shot it in France, Italy and Malta where they actually used the very same castle that was mentioned in Alexandre Dumas' book on which the series is based. Our dearest Sam Claflin has recently signed with a new agency in Hollywood, so let us hope it means more of him on our screens, but next year we will also watch him in Harlan Coben's series Lazarus at Prime Video and possibly also in Barbaric epic TV series over at Netflix if it gets finished.

THIS EIGHT PART EPIC SERIES

 sees Sam Claflin playing Edmond Dantes, whose future looks bright: he has just become a ship captain and is preparing to marry the love of his life, the beautiful Mercedes. However, he does not even suspect that he has enemies who, out of envy, are going to plot against him. Edmond is unfairly accused of Bonapartism and sent to the Chateau d'If prison without trial. After ten years in prison, Edmond loses all hope of salvation, but suddenly meets another prisoner - Abbe Faria, who had been digging an escape tunnel for many years, but mistakenly ended up in Dantes' cell. The new comrade tells Edmond about the treasures that are located outside the castle, but soon dies, and Dantes escapes alone. Now he is the mysterious Count of Monte Cristo, who intends to take revenge on those who destroyed his life.

Jeremy Irons plays Abbé Faria who has a decisive role in carrying out Cristo's revenge. BIBLICAL SERIES CAST ANNOUNCED

Prime Video has finished production on new Biblical series down in Greece and has unveiled first images from HOUSE OF DAVID historical series which will depict the ascent of biblical icon, David (Michael Iskander), who eventually becomes the most famous king of Israel. The series, set to open with three episodes on February 27th follows the once-mighty King Saul (Ali Suliman) as he falls victim to his own pride. At the direction of God, the prophet Samuel (Stephen Lang) anoints an unlikely, outcast teenager as the new king. As Saul loses his power over his kingdom, David finds himself on a journey to discover and fulfill his destiny, navigating love, loss and violence in the court of the very man he’s destined to replace. For one leader to rise, another must fall.

NEW TIM ALLEN SITCOM  ARRIVES JANUARY

ABC has given a January 8th start date to Tim Allen's new multicamera sitcom SHIFTING GEARS and today you can check out brand new cast photos and trailer. To air Wednesday nights, it will see Allen starring as Matt, the stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop Parker Customs. When Matt’s estranged daughter, Riley (Kat Dennings), and her teenage kids move into his house, the real restoration begins.

WHO ELSE IS IN THE CAST?

Seann William Scott will play Gabriel, a family friend of Matt and Riley who works in the shop with Matt. Daryl “Chill” Mitchell stars as Stitch, a former Marine” and “a mechanic at the shop, Maxwell Simkins as Carter and Barrett Margolis as Georgia, Riley's kids. Also announced as guest stars are Brenda Song, as Caitlyn, a former high school classmate of Riley’s who is now the assistant principal of the school, and Jenna Elfman who has been announced as Eve Drake, a spirited choreographer and owner of the dance studio across from Parker Customs.
