  DISNEY'S RIVALS SERIES
ANNOUNCES STELLAR CAST
If you are in the mood for a Dynasty style 80's glam soap opera Disney + has announced cast for their new series RIVALS which, based on the novel by Jilly Cooper, follows the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England. It dives headfirst into the ruthless world of independent television in 1986. In the fictional county of Rutshire, along-standing rivalry between two powerful men is about to boil over. Alex Hassell plays dashing ex-Olympian, Tory Member of Parliament and

incorrigible rake, the dangerously charismatic Rupert Campbell-Black. David Tennant is Ruperts ambitious and egotistical Rutshire neighbour Lord Tony Baddingham, controller of Corinium Television. A long-simmering power struggle between them threatens to boil over when the two men lock horns over the future of Corinium. Caught in the crossfire is TV presenter Declan OHara, (Aidan Turner). Fiercely intellectual, with an even fiercer temper, he is wooed to Corinium TV from the BBC by Baddingham himself, but feels

  NETFLIX' SWEET TOOTH
SEASON 2 TRAILER & AIR DATE
I must admit I fully forgot about this one as the break was so long and the first season was nothing special, but SWEET TOOTH is returning to Netflix April 27th with a second season in which a deadly new wave of the Sick bears down, as Gus (Christian Convery) and a band of fellow hybrids are held prisoner by General Abbot (Neil Sandilands) and the Last Men. Looking to consolidate power by finding a cure, Abbot uses the children as fodder for the experiments of captive Dr. Aditya Singh (the godawful Adeel Akhtar), who’s racing to save his infected wife Rani (Aliza Vellani). To protect his friends, Gus agrees to help Dr. Singh, beginning a dark journey into his origins and his mother Birdie’s (Amy Seimetz) role in the events leading up to The Great Crumble.

DELIGHTFUL SWEET TOOTH TRAILER IS HERE FOR NETFLIX' NEW FANTASY TV SERIES! FLORENCE PUGH TO LEAD 19TH CENTURY IRELAND SET MOVIE DRAMA THE WONDER

   FLORENCE PUGH TO LEAD
WONDER 19TH CENTURY FILM
Florence Pugh will shoot Wonder this August
In our favourite period set genre news today, after her critically acclaimed role in Lady Macbeth (which wasn't overly great if you ask me, though), Florence Pugh is returning to the big gowns and historical costumes in THE WONDER a big screen adaptation of Emma Donoghue's novel with director Sebastian Lelio behind the helm. To start shooting in Ireland this August, it will have the story set in Irish Midlands, 1859 and follows an English nurse, Lib Wright (Florence Pugh), who is summoned to a tiny village to observe what some are claiming as a medical anomaly or a miracle – a girl said to have survived without food for months. Tourists have flocked to the cabin of eleven year old and a journalist has come down to cover the sensation. The Wonder is a tale of two strangers who transform each other’s lives, a psychological thriller, and a story of love pitted against evil. Stay tuned for more casting news on the project.
