PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON SMALL TOWN, BIG STORY MINI TV SERIES STARTING NEXT MONTH WITH CHRISTINA HENDRICKS, PADDY CONSIDINE, CHRIS O'DOWD

SMALL TOWN, BIG STORY TV SERIES
Starting February 27th over at Sky is their new original mini series SMALL TOWN, BIG STORY a dramatic comedy starring Christina Hendricks and Paddy Considine in a six-part series set in a rural town Drumbán on the border of Ireland which has a secret that will be revealed when a Hollywood TV production rolls into town! 
 
   THE STORY FOLLOWS
Wendy Patterson (Hendricks), a local girl who found success as a TV producer in Los Angeles and returns to Drumbán after over 20 years, having left under something of a cloud. Back in the chaotic microcosm of Drumbán, this time with a film crew in tow, Wendy is caught between her past and her epic new production. Séamus Proctor (Considine) is the local doctor, a respected pillar of the community. He has a neat and well-ordered life, or at least he thinks he does. Soon he will find himself in the eye of a storm as a celluloid circus descends, which threatens to blow open a secret he has been harbouring since the Millennium.
 

WHO ELSE IS IN THE CAST?
Eileen Walsh stars as Catherine Proctor, Séamus’ wife and local schoolteacher. Leia Murphy and David Rawle star as siblings Joanne and Sonny Proctor. Patrick Martins, Evanne Kilgallon, Andrew Bennett, David Wilmot, Michèle Forbes, Sam C Wilson, Peter McGann, Jamie Michie, Ian McElhinney, Clarke Peters, and Emmy Award winner Chris O’Dowd, who is also the show's creator and director, will all also be seen in the new series. The series will also stream on NOW in UK and Ireland.

It took years for it to finally arrive but it will finally sing at Netflix  September 24th, announcing the arrival of Autumn: THE STARLING that Netflix paid $20 million just based on the script. The film, which will first hitcinemas September 17th, sees  Melissa McCarthy and Chris O’Dowd playing a married couple trying to rebuild their relationship after suffering a tragedy. He heads to recovery, while Lily tries to heal in the real world, including getting attacked by a starling that has built a nest near the garden she’s trying to grow. She turns to a psychiatrist turned veterinarian with baggage all his own (Kevin Kline) for help. Timothy Olyphant also stars.

It's comedy all the way today, spylings, to cheer you up ahead of the scorching summer weekend! Kevin Kline and Timothy Olyphant have joined comedy drama movie THE STARLING in which hilarious Melissa McCarthy and equally funny Chris O'Dowd play a married couple trying to rebuild their relationship after suffering a tragedy. While the husband heads off to deal with his grief in recovery, Lily Maynard tries to heal in the real world, one that becomes surreal when she grows a beautiful garden in their backyard, only to find herself repeatedly attacked by a starling that has built a nearby nest. She turns to a psychiatrist turned veterinarian (to be played by Kevin Kline) with baggage all his own, and who tries to help Lily with her bird problem and who ends up making a larger impact on her life.

Space Opera will be adapted over at Universal
SPACE OPERA which will be adapted into a film over at Universal by Joe Epstein. The story centres around a fierce musical contest in outer space known as the Metagalactic Grand Prix. Part gladiatorial contest, part beauty pageant, part concert extravaganza and part continuation of the wars of the past, species far and wide compete in feats of song and dance. Those who place well are revered and those who fail face sudden extermination for their entire species. However, Earth just stumbled upon this new galaxy and, in an effort of diplomacy, decides to compete and sends Decibel Jones and the Absolute Zeroes to rep the planet as they roll the dice on their fate.

Sextuplets hit Netflix in two weeks!
Netflix has, meanwhile, released the trailer for their hilarious comedy movie SEXTUPLETS in which Marlon Wayans plays all six main characters!  The story follows Alan, who grew up thinking he was an only child. Ahead of welcoming his first kid, he goes in search of his birth mother and learns the truth: he’s not an only child… not by a long shot. Wayans also plays Alan’s sister and every single one of his four brothers: Russell (who helps Alan learn of their sextuplet status), Ethan (who can smell that “Republican money”), Baby Pete (the name matches his stature), Dawn (an exotic dancer about to be released from prison), and Jaspar (seemingly, the intellectual of the siblings). The comedy is out August 16th!
