We have first image from new comedy movie with Imelda Staunton, Michael Patric and Charlie Murphy titled WEST THE ROAD which tells the hilarious and heartfelt story of a group of women brought together by the death of their childhood friend, Margaret. When they discover that she was forced to give her daughter up for adoption at the age of fifteen, the group embark on a journey from the West of Ireland up the Wild Atlantic coastline – accompanied by a donkey called Thatcher – in search of the child so that Margaret’s mother, Bridie, can meet the grandchild she never knew she had. What follows is a story about friendship, love and the unstoppable resolve of women as they rediscover the joy of living.
Although it already aired in Holland earlier this year, eight part action thriller series SAFE HARBOUR will hit Australian SBS August 21st and it is also available from April on ITVX in UK.
THE SERIES FOLLOWS
Tobias (Alfie Allen) and Marco (Martijn Lakemeier whom we watched in Maxima and Marie Antoinette), hackers
who become involved with organised crime when they cross paths with
members of the Irish mob, Sloane (Charlie Murphy) and her brother
Farrell (Jack Gleeson). They employ them to hack into the security
system of Europe's largest shipping port, in Rotterdam, to enable
undetected deliveries of drug shipments. Colm Meaney also stars in the
series originally made for Videoland Dutch streamer service. Check out

ALFIE ALLEN, MARTIJN LAKEMEIER AND CHARLIE MURPHY TO LEAD
In a co production between Dutch streamer Videoland and Belgian Streamz, next year will bring us new eight part series SAFE HARBOR with gorgeous Dutch star Martijn Lakemeier (who is also playing the king of Holland in Videoland's Maxima series) in the lead alongside Alfie Allen, Charlie Murhpy and Jack Gleeson. The series follows gifted hacker Tobias (Allen) and his ambitious best friend Marco (Lakemeier), who are intent on cracking into the tech billionaires club. They are plucked from quiet obscurity and plunged headfirst into the chaos of organised crime when they cross paths with the Irish mob. Leading the family’s operations in Holland are Sloane (Murphy) and her brother Farrell (Gleeson), who enlist their services to hack into the security system of Rotterdam harbour, Europe’s largest shipping port, to secure the undetected deliveries of drug shipments.
A big-name star is being sought for a patriarch role, father to Sloane and Farrell, in the Irish mob, as Deadline reports.

Archery Pictures has acquired movie rights to Sarah Underwood's best selling novel LIES WE SING TO THE SEA. Ripley Parker has been set to adapt it. This magical coming-of-age novel is set in Ancient Greece and is inspired by the myth of Penelope’s hanged maids. In the cursed kingdom of Ithaca, each spring brings the hanging of twelve young women, a tithe to the vengeful Poseidon. But when Leto awakens from her death on the shore of a magical island, its enigmatic keeper Melantho tells her that she has been chosen by the Gods to break Ithaca’s curse. Leto must return home and kill the prince.

WARLORD CHRONICLES from Bernard Cornwell will be adapted by Bad Wolf into a ten episode THE WINTER KING series. The series, which will begin shooting this year in UK, presents a revisionist take on the Arthurian legends, circling around Arthur Pendragon as he evolves from outcast son to legendary warrior and leader.
The books are set in the 5th century, long before Britain was united, in a land of warring factions and tribes when the world was brutal and lives were often fleeting. Halo's Otto Bathurst is coproducing and directing as well. The series, originally announced at Epix, is envisioned as having more seasons.

Starting from tonight, Tuesday April 5th, British Channel 5 will air their new thriller mini series DEADLINE in four consecutive nights. It follows elusive widow Natalie Varga (Charlie Murphy) who stands accused of murdering her husband in cold blood and the court of public opinion has already decided she’s guilty as charged. But Natalie is a difficult woman to get a handle on as she’s perfected the art of adapting to her surroundings. After surviving a traumatic childhood, Natalie studied at Cambridge University and having escaped her roots she’s become adept at switching from warm to aloof and from relatable to untouchable.
James Aiden (James D’Arcy) is an investigative journalist with one serious black mark on his career copybook already. BBC has finally released a trailer for their December 29th two hours TV drama on Bronte sisters TO WALK INVISIBLE which tells the story behind these three women who, despite the obstacles they faced, came from obscurity to produce some of the greatest novels in the English language. The one-off drama has been both written and directed by Sally Wainwright.
