PBS Masterpiece has been so kind to send us the first image from their new TV series adaptation of THE FORSYTE SAGA featuring Millie Gibson as Irene and Joshua Orpin as Soames. The series that is now in production
follows the lives of the wealthy Forsyte family in 1880s London and their tale of love, loyalty, ambition and betrayal. Francesca Annis, Stephen Moyer, Jack Davenport, Tupence Middleton and Eleanor Tomlinson also star.

I'm curious to see what mess they'll come up with. I wonder if it will be ready for the Fall.
ReplyDeleteIt has just started shooting, so I think not, I think they said it is for next year, but we shall see, you never know, it does have just six episodes or something. The picture is nice, her dress is fugly with that buttoning but at least we will have eye candy in him.

Delete1960s adaptation which I liked. I'll keep an open mind pro temp. Six episodes seems short for a long series of books like The Forsyte Chronicles.
That is what I thought as well, they will stuff everything in just six episodes.
DeleteThe dress is quite ugly, looking light a night dress. But hey, she has more money than me, so who am I to judge? LOL
