  HOUSE OF PROMISES
SECOND SEASON OF PERIOD SET DRAMA
Season two is available as of this Friday
Beside Greetings from America, which I spotlighted for you last Sunday, there is another period set drama from Deutchland coming to the small screens this month. Or to be more precise, it is already here: as of this weekend, June 14th, the second season of popular German historical series HOUSE OF PROMISES (Das Haus der Träume), which already aired over in its homecountry on RTL, is available on PBS Masterpiece channel over on Prime Video for the viewers in Northern America. SBB is streaming it Down Under for the viewers in Australia with the first season also available on that streamer!

AFTER THE EVENTS IN THE FIRST SEASON
second season of the series set in the 1920's department store in Berlin, finds Vicky (Naemi Florez) a department manager at the Jonass department store and with a new partner, Wilhelm (Lucas Reiber) who proposes to her. Her daughter’s daddy, Harry (Ludwig Simon), is still floating around in her life, too. Meanwhile, Harry’s father, Arthur Grünberg (Alexander Scheer), the department store’s owner, works on expanding Jonass by opening another store but with the rise of the Nazi party he receives order to fire his Jewish staff, which is why he decides to relocate his family to New York.

  1. Probably a good move going to New York anyway. I'd like to sell in some of their markets there. We get a lot of New Yorkers begging us to come to their Christmas markets. I think we're going to be in Tennessee this holiday season, but maybe we'll venture there next Christmas.

    1. You must, you should have gone to that Hallmark's Christmas market this year, they are already announcing it, it looks magical, but the entrance fee is probably high.

    2. Oh, that would be so fun! I hadn't heard of it before, but I just googled it. It looks like they are only open to their own artisans that sell Hallmark exclusive work, so sadly I don't think we'd we accepted. I'll have Jason email them though and see how vendors can get in. Thanks for the info!

    3. Well, you can do a Hallmark batch, dahlink, cutting boards with Andrew Walker and Luke Macfarlane's gorgeous faces on :)

    1. I think that the zweite staffel aired on RTL last year, a year ago or so.
