HALO SERIES TRAILER
LOOKS HALOWA EXPENSIVE
Halo arrives to Paramount + sometime next year
Paramount + has released first atmospheric trailer for their sf epic TV series HALO which will arrive sometime next year based on the popular video game. With Pablo Schreiber in the lead role of Master Chief, Paramount+’s upcoming series dramatizes an epic 26th century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant while weaving deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future. It also features Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, the brilliant, conflicted and inscrutable creator of the Spartan super soldiers, and Jen Taylor as Cortana, the most advanced AI in human history, and potentially the key to the survival of the human race.
LOL people over at YouTube have totally different opinion. As a book translator myself I'm shocked by what she did and would probably spit in her face, because what she did is unacceptable for us. But given that he is a bad writer and she turned it into a hit, I understand his reasons for not smashing her fugly face with a fist.
You know I do love Sam Claflin, but are you sure that’s him? I see his adorable smile, but the rest of him is changed completely . I’m all in on this one though. :). It’s a hard pass for me on Halo.
It is beyond me how she pulled it off. I do always correct mistakes if they leave it in their work, which does often happen, and sometimes switch the word order in the sentences to make them sound Serbian and not English, but I would never add anything that is not there, freaking hell. In my professional opinion she needs to get a death sentence LOL it is that type of offense. The furthest I went was making The Bear and the Nightingale more lyrical but that is because I imagined if she had written it in my language she would've done the same thing. The end result was that our translation was better than the original but only because Serbian has that lyrical flow that English does not. The readers were enchanted and thought it was her, while it was actually me.

I am not sure whether i like "Halo" or not. But looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt might become a big hit if done right.
DeleteIf my book wasn't doing well and then all of the sudden took off, I might not be so mad about someone turning it into a steamy romance. lol

ReplyDeleteI think he looks a bit better than he looked last year, or at least this hairdo looks cute on him, I don't know. He is still our sweet boo.
DeleteI agree with Jax. He looks like he's aged quite a bit and that hair do has to go. He's still cute, but not the hunk he once was.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds almost criminal for her to change his work. I mean, how the heck would she even get away with that!?
