WILMER VALDERRAMA
IS THE NEW ZORRO
Yes, it is the most unexpected of casting choices but as Deadline reports today Wilmer Valderrama will take the lead role of the legendary masked hero in ZORRO series which he will also executive produce for Disney Branded Television. He will be Don Diego de la Vega and his alter ego in this
reimagination of Disney classic as a compelling period piece, set in Pueblo de Los Angeles, but told in a very modern telenovela style — with richly drawn contemporary characters and relationships set against the action, drama, suspense, and humor of the original, iconic Zorro.
Wilmer will both star and executive produce the series |
THE LAUREATE TRAILER
THEY REWROTE THE RULES
A few days ago the father of her children Sam Claflin had a trailer for his new film and now it is turn for his ex wife, wildly gorgeous Laura Haddock to
present us with her new work: a trailer has been released for her period set drama movie THE LAUREATE which boast a stellar cast that also includes Julian Glover, Tom Hughes and Dianna Agron. Written and directed by William Nunez it will arrive to selected cinemas and digital platforms on January 21st.
Laureate should arrive this January |
The movie follows the real life story of famous writer Robert Graves who
wrote many historical classics including I, Claudius and more than 140
other books. The film follows him as a young British War Poet (Tom
Hughes), who is married with four children when he meets and becomes
romantically involved with Laura Riding (Dianna Agron), a writer from
America. Defying the conventions of polite society, Riding moves in with
Graves and his wife (Laura Haddock plays his wife Nancy Nicholson who
was a painter and fabric designer) living as a ménage a trois. Then with
the arrival of strappingly handsome Irish poet Geoffrey Phibbs (Fra
Fee), the arrangement becomes a ménage a quatre. But soon tensions and
rivalries become so fraught that Graves is a suspect for attempted
murder. Patricia Hodge (the role was originally meant for Kathy Bates) will
be Graves’ meddling mother who fears Riding will ruin the seemingly
idyllic marriage as tensions in the household rise. Timothy Renouf
appears as another famous poet Siegfried Sassoon who is also getting a
film with Jack Lowden.
The movie premiered at Mallorca Festival |
When we were kids, our Brothers loved to watch "Zorro" and didn’t let us to watch (because we are girls) LOL.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny!
DeleteWow, quite a few names here that I haven’t heard of in a while! That being said, I don’t know how I feel about Wilmer as Zorro..
ReplyDeleteI was laughing at first, but then they did say it will have comical elements, so maybe he is the right choice, but he does seem old these days for the role.
DeleteAll I'm seeing in my head is That 70s Show which is the complete opposite of anything Zorro.. LOL
DeleteTotal opposite!
DeleteOMG "Laureate" movie is a real hystory of a bisexual men!
ReplyDeleteAnd women too, it seems his wife is keen on the mistress as well.
DeleteAs a bisexual guy, i'm happy that there is representation of male bisexuality :)
ReplyDeleteWe are too! Bisexuals are beautiful!
DeleteGood lord, I have enough trouble keeping up with one lover. I couldn't imagine adding two more to the mix.
ReplyDeleteThe more the merrier!
DeleteNot in The Laureate! LOL
DeleteI do love the idea of all them writers and poets shagging each other, it is very poetical lol And I always support orgies amongst such delightful youngsters. Of course, the fact that they have four children, should've made them think twice about swingilinging.
