PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON NEW NETFLIX EPIC TV SAGA THE QUEEN AND THE CONQUEROR ON FAMOUS 16TH CENTURY EXPLORER PEDRO DE HEREDIA

QUEEN AND CONQUEROR
NEW EPIC TV SAGA AT NETFLIX
A few days ago we got the memo from Netflix that they are ready to start streaming Colombian saga THE QUEEN AND THE CONQUEROR
The series streams from May 16th at Netflix
(originally known as La Reina de Indias y el Conquistador) from May 16th! But I have to immediately warn you that it is not a historical mini series but a very long historical telenovella consisting of massive 60 episodes! It is just the first season, and I'm guessing they air them daily over in Southern America. Created by Johhny Ortiz the series revolves around the history that led to the birth of the city of Cartagena de Indias, the main port of Las Américas! The cast is headlined by Essined Rivera Aponte as La India Catalina, an indigenous woman who played a role
The story of the series is set in the first half of the 16th century
in the Spanish conquest of Colombia by acting as an interpreter and intermediary to explorer and conquistador Pedro de Heredia played by Emmanuel Esparza! Check out the trailer below and stay tuned as I will be bringing you another lavish Spanish saga soon!

The Queen And The Conqueror
is the story of Catalina, the indigenous woman who gave away her soul, her heart and her life to a conqueror. This epic saga rebuilds one of the first love stories that took place in America, between an indigenous woman and a

escapes, only to come back 18 years later, as a grown woman. In her soul, her only mission is: revenge. To end Pedro de Heredia's life, the same way that he, after making her fall for him, ended hers.

    2. 60 episodes? Oh, how long the series is in my opinion ... many people will get bored following the series if it's too long.

    3. Some viewers like to binge watch them on a daily basis.

  2. 60 episodes?! Talk about a binge.. I’ll be skipping this one. I’m not big on telenovellas. The over dramatic acting kills it for me!

    1. They air them on week days every day probably. I'm a bit saturated with conquistadors after Hernan series last year, so I will be skipping this one too, but people always look for new binge materials especially if they are on Netflix. When the airing starts this will be one of my most visited posts.

  3. That’s a lot of binge watching! I suppose if quarantine starts up again, this will keep some people entertained for a bit.

    1. I don't think any country will proclaim quarantine again, at this point poverty and the collapse of economy are bigger danger than death from corona. I think they will just tell us to wear masks and that will be that.

    2. Sadly, you're probably right. Good luck enforcing people to wear masks though. Idiots here are beating up or shooting security guards when told they can't enter stores without one. Or, if they do have them, I see people incorrectly wearing them, or they take them off and start touching their faces. I did have to venture out to the store today, the first time I've been in months. I ended up signing up for curbside pickup so I can avoid that crap for the next year. For $30 to have someone do my shopping for me and bring it out to my car for an entire year, it was well worth the cost to avoid the public.

    3. We have that in some of our bigger shops, but only in Novi Sad and Belgrade, and only those two big cities have online grocery delivery too. We do have a possibility of farmers from outside the city bringing produce to our homes, but it is not so cheap and you cannot pick the veggies and fruit, you get what they bring you. Do you miss shopping? I actually hate it these days due to mask suffocating me and fogging up my glasses.

    4. Honestly, I don't miss grocery shopping. I do miss going to the home goods stores and seeing the new dishes and knick knacks though. How are the lines at your stores? Are you able to get in and out quickly so the suffocating masks can be worn for a minimal amount of time?

    5. There are no more lines in front of supermarkets, just in front of banks and drugstores as they have a very limited number of people they can let in. I'm supposed to go to Novi Sad to get money from my publisher, but I just cannot imagine spending all day long under a mask, in the bus, in the taxi, at the publishers, at the taxi again, bus again, that would be ten hours under it non stop, so I've just been postponing it for weeks now and they're getting a bit angry with me.

    6. Ugh, that does sound like pure hell. I had mine on for a little over 2 hours at my infusion and couldn't wait to get it off. All day would be pure hell!
