WANTS CATE BLANCHETT
|
Cate Blanchett is negotiating around the lead role |
After she played charmingly ruthless Hela in Thor, one of world's best ever actresses
Cate Blanchett is currently in option over at
Lionsgate for the role of Lilith in the possible new movie adaptation of video game
BORDER LANDS. As Variety reports, in this sf western adventure, Lilith is a superhuman 'Siren' and one of only six women in the galaxy who have psychic abilities she also has a power to be invisible. The game is set on the frontier of a sci-fi universe — the planet of Pandora where we follow a group of Vault Hunters who are there in search of a mythical alien vault containing coveted alien technology, battling wildlife and raiders of all types along the way.
Eli Roth is directing. You can currently watch Blanchett in Hulu's
Mrs. America series and in Australian mini series
Stateless.

Love! Murder! Revenge! Can't beat that!
ReplyDeleteNever trust a whore would be my advice.
DeleteLove Cate! Hope she enters! :D
ReplyDeleteIt would be nice to see her again in a major blockbuster.
DeleteOoooo, I really like the Borderlands! And I really like Cate Blanchett, so I'm curious to see how that all works out!
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of the cast will be good.
DeleteThe ability to become invisible would be very helpful in some instances. I do like Cate Blanchett. I did a quick Google search of her and was surprised to learn that she's 50 years old!! She barely looks 40. I wonder what the celebrities secrets are that they don't age.
ReplyDeleteShe has that kind of ageless bone structure in her face, she will grow old very gracefully methinks, and Australians always look good.
DeleteAs much as I love Cate Blanchett, I don't do video games and rarely science fiction so I'll be skipping that one. I will be keeping an eye out for Luminaries though.
ReplyDeleteLuminaries are now the only historical show we might get this summer. And maybe Singapore Grip, but you don't know these days as so many networks will be saving already ready shows for Autumn.
