'B POSITIVE 'SITCOM
PICKED UP FOR FULL SEASON
While the 1st epic show to be officially cancelled this spring is History's Knightfall, the 1st comedy pilot to be ordered to series is B POSITIVE over at CBS. It was, admittedly, the only sitcom pilot to get fully shot before corona lockdown. Coming from Chuck Lorre (who also has Young Sheldon and Mom, two of TV's best watched sitcoms), it sees Thomas Middleditch
playing a therapist and newly divorced dad who is faced with finding a kidney donor when he runs into a rough-around-the-edges woman (Annaleigh Ashford) from his past who volunteers her own. Together they form an unlikely bond and begin a journey that will change both of their lives. Kether Donohue, Justin Baker, Sara Rue and Kamryn Kunody will also star. Stay tuned for other upfronts next week.
Since productions on Autumn shows usually start in July which is now unlikely, it is expected that the September new TV season launch might get pushed to January. |
Rough around the edges but soft heart for giving up a kidney.
ReplyDeleteHope it will be heartwarming, I need a good, warm sitcom next season, especially as Carol's Second Act got cancelled and Indebted will have the same destiny most probably. And I'm no longer looking forward to Last Man Standing, which leaves me only with Neighbourhood.
DeleteThis sounds different. Rough around the edges isn’t always a bad thing. Sometimes it’s the after effect of bad experiences.
ReplyDeleteI'm already swooning after the unlucky dad.
