NEW 'STAR TREK' SHOW
STRANGE NEW WORLDS
Anson Mount will lead the show as Captain Pike |
Since fans adored them, they are now getting their own series STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS over at CBS All Access! The new science fiction spin off series will follow the crew in the
decade before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they
explore new worlds around the galaxy.
This means that it might be the first Star Trek series in a very long that sticks to the essence of the franchise - interesting, dynamic, episodic stories taking the crew to new adventures in each new episode instead of following one plot throughout the season like Discovery and Picard did. It means that we will be in the time when the Star Fleet was discovering new planets and new alien
species around the galaxy. Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman, and Jenny Lumet will serve as executive producers in addition to Henry Alonso Myers, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth.
Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck will also return to the bridge of Enterprise |
Glad they're giving those actors a second chance!
ReplyDeleteThey are inarguably the best crew we've seen in many many decades. I'd say since Next Generation. I just wish they kept Rebecca's gorgeous blond hair.
DeleteNot for me, but I'm sure this will excite some.
ReplyDeleteI did not like Picard at all, even Patrick's acting was too old fashioned, the crew boring, story unappealing, but I'm very much excited about this one since I like this gorgeous crew, especially the chemistry between Anson and Rebecca.
DeleteI've never seen a Star Trek or Star Wars and I don't plan to ever see it. It just never interested me enough to watch it. This is one I'll have to skip.
ReplyDeleteStar Wars is admittedly stupid and boring, but Star Trek is nice, especially New Generation series, it was a very intelligent and scientific show.
DeleteIs that the one with Chris Pines? That may entice me to tune in. LOL
DeleteNo, he starred in the movie versions not the TV series. Next Generation is the one with Patrick Stewart as the captain of Enterprise.
