'JERUSALEM'S LOT'
Another spooky project for us this week, this time Epix has given a ten episode order to new period set horror series JERUSALEM'S LOT to be toplined by Oscar winner Adrien Brody! Based on a short story by Stephen King, it will shoot next year with the plans for it to be aired next Autumn! In the story set in the 1850s, Adrien Brody will play Captain Charles Boone who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations. Peter and Jason Filardi will write and executive produce the whole series.
I like him, he was great in the Pianist by Polanski!
ReplyDeleteThat is when he got his Oscar. I once saw him in person when he was shooting Brothers Bloom in my city with Rachel Weisz.
DeleteThe title 'Jerusalem's Lot' is grossly misleading. When I saw it on the Reading List I thought it was about the authentic city of Jerusalem.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I like the looks of the leading actor, Adrien Brody.
He does not look like that without tons of PhotoShop :)
DeleteAdrien Brody hasn't been in anything good since he won his Oscar. I hope this one changes that!
ReplyDeleteI think he was, he just did not whore himself in Hollywood like most US actors.
DeleteI'll wait for the trailer. You know I love Stephen King, but most of the films and series based on his work sucks.
ReplyDeleteAnd there are so many of them in production currently.
DeleteI'm not a fan of creepy, or Stephen King, but I do like Adrien Brody! When are they going to release something light hearted and fun? I did hear talk about a new P.S. I Love You film. :)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of the film nor that title, except that old 90's TV series.
DeleteReally?! It’s one of my favorite chick flicks. It’s about a husband that passed away but set up messages/surprises for his wife to continue after his death. He indirectly set her on the path for a new life. Oh and it has Gerard Butler AND Jeffrey Dean Morgan. :)
DeleteI'm guessing the female lead was someone I cannot stand, which is, admittedly, half of Hollywood :)
DeleteIt was Hillary Swank! You can’t hate her... she’s one of those people that you don’t love or hate. You must watch this movie!
DeleteSee, I knew it, she is in that group of bland (both physically and actingvise) actresses such are Natalie UnImportant, Keira Knightley, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, Lilly James, Jennifer Garner, Helen Hunt etc, who wouldn't have a charisma even if they were born with it and they weren't :) Also one of the least deserving Oscar winners ever.
DeleteI do like Jennifer Garners Instagram posts although I can’t think of a movie she starred in. She seems like a woman I’d want to be good friends with! Although I’m not a fan of her ex at all..
DeleteIt always like that with Eva Mendes for me... for the life of me I can never remember any of her roles or movies, but I know she exists LOL Then again I cannot remember any of her husband's movies either.
DeleteI love Stephen King so I'll be interested to see this adaptation.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed it is good in the end.
