SEE TRAILER AND AIR DATE FOR JAMIE DORNAN'S SERIES THE TOURIST SEASON TWO!

Second season opens New Year at BBC One
BBC has dropped a trailer for the second season of their hit series THE TOURIST which will arrive January 1st to BBC One and will later on stream on Netflix as well from February 29th. Set against the striking backdrop of Ireland it follows Jamie Dornan’s Elliot and Helen (Danielle Macdonald) who are dragged into a longstanding feud and faced to deal with the consequences of his past actions. After Elliot quickly goes missing, Helen seeks the help of Detective Ruairi Slater (Conor MacNeill), before secrets of Elliot’s past are later uncovered. In Australia it streams on Stan, in Germany it airs on ZDF. Check out the trailer for the second season of the series below and tell us what you think! I must admit I still have not seen the first season, too many series, too little time.

CHRISTMAS ON BRITISH TV: AGATHA CHRISTIE'S MURDER IS EASY, MEN UP VIAGRA MOVIE, 2ND SEASON OF JAMIE DORNAN'S TOURIST, ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL SPECIAL AND GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS

AGATHA CHRISTIE'S MURDER IS EASY
BBC has unveiled their Christmas line up this year and it includes Agatha Christie series MURDER IS EASY which will air on BBC One set in England, 1954. On a train to London, Fitzwilliam (David Jonsson) meets Miss Pinkerton (Penelope Wilton), who tells him that a killer is on the loose in the sleepy English village of Wychwood under Ashe. The villagers believe the deaths are mere accidents, but Miss Pinkerton knows otherwise – and when she's later found dead on her way to Scotland Yard, Fitzwilliam feels he must find the killer before they can strike again. Because for a certain kind of person, murder is easy… Morfydd Clark, Tom Riley, and Mark Bonnar also star.

  MEN UP TV MOVIE
BBC One will also air Iwan Rheon and Paul Rhys in MEN UP television movie which explores the lives of five ordinary Welshmen who embark on an extraordinary journey when they take part in the trial of a new drug which would later become Viagra. The feature-length drama is loosely inspired by the remarkable true story of one of the world's first medical trials for the drug, held in Swansea’s Morriston Hospital in 1994.

SECOND SEASON OF THE TOURIST
Also launching on BBC One during the holidays will be the second season of Jamie Dornan's THE TOURIST series with him playing Elliot who together with Helen (Danielle Macdonald) travels to Ireland to find answers about Elliot’s identity, but instead they are forced to face the dangerous consequences of his past actions.

  A GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS
 BBC Two will see the premiere of a half hour long short movie A GHOST STORY FOR CHRISTMAS: LOT No249 an Arthur Conan Doyle adaptation starring Kit Harington and Freddie Fox. 1881. Old College, Oxford plays host to three very different young academics: Abercrombie Smith, a model of Victorian manhood, clean of limb and sound of mind; Monkhouse Lee, a delicate and unworldly student from Siam; and the strange and exotic Edward Bellingham, whose arcane research into Ancient Egypt is the talk of the campus.

ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL
Over on Channel 5 December 21st will bring us the traditional Christmas special of ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL series with James far from home, stationed at an RAF training base. A heartfelt phone call with Helen, who is expecting their child, fills him with a longing to return to her side. The question looms: will he manage to make it home in time to celebrate Christmas? Back in Darrowby, Mrs. Hall busies herself orchestrating a festive community celebration, imbuing the town with the spirit of the season. Meanwhile, Siegfried and Carmody find themselves in a lighthearted dispute over who will don the mantle of Father Christmas this year.

BBC has released first images from the second season of hit series THE TOURIST which was the most watched new drama in UK last year and it also scored success on Stan in Australia and ZDF in Germany. Jamie Dornan resumes his role as Elliot Stanley, a man looking to rediscover his true identity after his memory loss, alongside Danielle Macdonald as police officer Helen Chambers, following their adventure in the Outback. Set against the striking backdrop of Ireland, the pair are confronted by friends and foes as they attempt to uncover the secrets of Elliot’s past. They are now dragged into a longstanding family feud. Full of shocking plot twists and the same off-beat comedy that made series one a success, the series is set to return with even more quirky characters and intense action. 

   A MILLION MILES AWAY  
PRIME VIDEO MOVIE TRAILER
Continuing with good drama movies this season, Prime Video has released a deeply moving and inspiring trailer for A MILLION MILES AWAY biopic
The movie will stream from September 15th
on NASA astronaut Jose Fernandez. Out September 15th and inspired by the real-life story of NASA flight engineer José Hernández, it follows him and his devoted family of proud migrant farm workers on a decades-long journey, from a rural village in Michoacán, Mexico, to the fields of the San Joaquin Valley, to more than 200 miles above the Earth in the International Space Station. With the unwavering support of his hard-working parents, relatives, and teachers, José’s unrelenting drive & determination culminates in the opportunity to achieve his seemingly impossible goal. BBC will turn Gallows Pole into series
Speaking of BBC, they have also announced a new period set series which they've just ordered. THE GALLOWS POLE will be an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Benjamin Myers bringing the remarkable true 18th century story of David Hartley and the Cragg Vale Coiners, a community of weavers who made fake gold coins to supplement their incomes. It follows a group of very naughty men and women who started clipping and counterfeiting coins out in the Moors, as a way to keep themselves and their community alive! But their revolutionary criminal enterprise will capsize the economy and become the biggest fraud in British history.
