Gorgeous new posters for some of the historical dramas arriving soon. First on the list today is A ROYAL NIGHT OUT out in British cinemas May 15th! On V.E. Day in 1945, as peace extends across Europe, Princesses Elizabeth (Sarah Gadon) and Margaret are allowed out to join the celebrations. 'TESTAMENT OF YOUTH'

WITH KIT HARINGTON, COLIN MORGAN, AND ALICIA VIKANDER

The second film for today has already been released over at the British isles, but is out in USA June 5th! TESTAMENT OF YOUTH stars Alicia Vikander as intelligent and free spirited Vera who overcomes the narrow mindedness of her conservative parents, winning a scholarship to Oxford. Entranced by her brother's dashing friend Roland (Kit Harington), who shares her literary aspirations, she plunges into an intoxicating romance. Blooming, in love and on the cusp of fulfilling her ambitions, Vera's dreams are brutally shattered by the onset of war. When Roland and her brother (Taron Egerton) ship out to the front, she abandons the cloistered environs of university life and volunteers as a nurse. Immediately confronted with the pitiless reality of the war's victims, her life is irrevocably changed as she loses, one-by-one, the young men she held so dear. The star studded cast also includes Colin Morgan, Miranda Richardson, Emily Watson, Dominic West, Hayley Attwell.

NEW AMAZON SERIES: HISTORICAL 'POINT OF HONOUR' WITH CHRISTOPHER O'SHEA, NATHAN PARSONS, 'MAD DOGS' WITH BILLY ZANE, BEN CHAPLIN, STEVE ZAHN! NEW 'TESTAMENT OF YOUTH' TRAILER WITH KIT HARINGTON, ALICIA VIKANDER

NEW AMAZON'S SERIES

HISTORICAL 'POINT OF HONOUR'

In today's TV news, Amazon has announced their series pilots for 2015, among which we shall watch MAD DOGS and POINT OF HONOUR! The later one is set at the start of the Civil War, when a Virginia family, led by their West Point bred son, John Rhodes (Nathan Parsons), makes the controversial decision to defend the South while freeing all of their slaves. At battle against his northern brethren and his best friend and brother in-law Robert Sumner (Christopher O’Shea), John leaves his three strong willed sisters at home to run the plantation that is now without a free labour source. The choice to protect the life they have always known and defend the moral high ground will pit the family against one another and test their strength, courage and love. Annabelle Stephenson, Riley Voelkel, Patrick Heusinger, Luke Benward, Lucien Laviscount also star!

'MAD DOGS'
Based on deeply suspenseful UK series, MAD DOGS will follow the twisted reunion of a group of underachieving forty something friends who are all at different crossroads in their lives. Celebrating the early retirement of an old friend at his gorgeous Belize villa, grudges begin to emerge and secrets explode as their trip becomes a labyrinthine nightmare of lies, deception and murder. It is a twisted tale of friendship put to the ultimate test. As an inconceivable chain of events unfolds, cracks within the group widen before the friends realize that the only people they can trust are each other, the last people they want to be relying on. Steve Zahn, Billy Zane, Romany Malco, Michael Imperioli and Ben Chaplin play the friends! I have to admit that I kinda liked the casting of the British series much better than the ensemble in the American version!
