Back in 2022 I reported that Serbian star Milos Bikovic will lead historical movie THE BIRTH OF AN EMPIRE (Рождение империи) butthen about a year ago I told you that it will be Aleksandar Gorbatov who will play the lead role of Tzar Peter I at the time after the defeat in the Battle of Narva and before the victory in the Battle of Poltava. And now we have a new trailer from the film which is supposed to arrive to Russian cinemas October 29th 2026. In addition to Peter I, the film will also feature his courtiers Menshikov, Sheremetyev, Romodanovsky and Foreign Minister Golovin. Menshikov will actually be played by Milos Bikovich, Romodanovsky by Vitaly Khaev, Sheremetyev by Alexey Guskov. The female roles will be played by Yulia Peresild (Anna Mons) and Ksenia Utekhina (the future Catherine I). Andrei Kravchuk is directing.

A trailer and first images have been released for Russian eight part fantasy television series THE SECRET CITY (Тайный город) a high end small screen adaptation of popular novels by Vadim Panov about a hidden world of magic and ancient clans behind the modern metropolis. Panslavic star Milos Bikovich, Russia's most famous actress Yulia Peresild, Igor Vernik, Maria Andreeva, Alexey Guskov, Evgeny Chebatkov, Yuri Kolokolnikov, Sergey Shakurov, Ivan Dobronravov, Diana Pozharskaya, Denis Shvedov, Andrey Merzlikin, Pavel Chinarev, are just some of the well know names that will appear in the cast.

 

THE SERIES TAKES THE AUDIENCE

 to an alternative Moscow, where secretly from people from time immemorial live the Great Houses of Nav, Chud and After all. They own magic, alchemy and the powers of nature, supporting the illusory barrier - the trouble that hides their world from human eyes. In the center of the plot is Artem (Oleg Savostyuk), who accidentally turned out to be the owner of a magical artifact. Thanks to this, he discovers the existence of the Secret City and is drawn into the confrontation of powerful clans, the outcome of which depends the balance between the magical and human worlds. His path intersects with  the mercenary Cortez (Miloš Bikovich), fighter Lebed (Eugene Chebatkov), strict Major Kornilov (Alexei Guskov), the mysterious mercenary Yana (Maria Andreeva) and other heroes, each of whom is involved in the struggle for power and influence in its own way. The world of the Great Houses is also covered by the young magician Lubomir (Leo Kandelaki), the Queen of the House After All, Vseslav (Yulia Peresild), as well as representatives of the Black Dogs, with which the characters face in the battle for the artifact.

VARVARA THE FAIR WITH THE SILKEN HAIR FAIRY TALE MOVIE ADAPTATION

Straight from the land of Russia and their endless well of enchanting folk tales, myths and legends come first images from the new big screen adaptation of their famous fairy tale VARVARA THE FAIR WITH THE SILKEN HAIR (Варвара-Краса) which should arrive into cinemas in March 2027 and has recently started shooting. Rinata Timerbaeva will play the title character, and Vitaly Kornienko will play the role of the little inhabitant of the underwater kingdom, Echo. Also starring will be the ultimate Russian superstar Alexander Petrov, Panslavic star Serbian actor Milos Bikovic, Kirill Pletnev, and Nikita Policemako in undisclosed roles to be revealed later on.

  THE STORY OF THE ENCHANTING FILM

Since Hollywood is in its summer slumber, I am taking you today over to Russia as I have the first trailer for RED SILK (Krasnyy shelk) historical movie thriller starring PanSlavic star Milos Bikovic. He is a Serbian actor who became popular in Russia as well where he is now one of their biggest movie stars. This is why he was recently left without a role in the third season of HBO's White Lotus in a rather scandalous way, but that is Hollywood for you in its despicable hypocrisy. This one comes from director Andrey Volgin and is set to arrive into cinemas February 20th next year. Yaroslav Mogilnikov, Irina Alferova, Gosha Kutsenko also star beside Bikovic. The Russian part of the film has finished shooting, which was celebrated by the release of the first teaser trailer below, and now the crew has moved over to China to finish production in one of world's biggest movie studios in Hengdian.

And, of course, he cannot get past the lawlessness that the impudent and spoiled brat girl named Katya creates. It is not surprising that soon the new brat finds herself in a different time. Katya is played by Aglaya Tarasova, who was, interestingly enough, a real life girlfriend od Bikovic for sometime. Well, you have to hand it to them: Russians have beaten the Americans again becoming the first nation ever to shoot a film up in space. CHALLENGE (ВЫЗОВ) was a massive, historic project of Channel One, Glavkosmos, Roscosmos State Corporation, Yellow, Black and White studios, START online cinema, with the support of the Cinema Fund, who all joined last year to send Yulija Peresild and director Klim Shipenko up to space via rocket to shoot the first film ever in space, and the whole mission, including Yulia's long preparations and training, was aired on Russian National Television in the form of a reality programme.
