Earliet this year we got the first teaser and now History has revealed the first trailer for the second season of their KNIGHTFALL epic series showing us Tom Cullen as Landry, the leader of the Templars, and Mark Hamill as a battle hardened Knight Templar veteran of the Crusades who survived a decade of captivity in the Holy Land and is tasked with training the new initiates to the Order. He probably won't agree morally with Landry who impregnated the French queen, even though she was the wife of his best friend

New season will have Spartacus: War of the Damned Aaron Helbing as the brand new show runner and executive producer

the king (Ed Stoppard), and then watched her getting killed by her husband for her treachery and adultery. The sword in the teaser obviously announces a divide within the order. The series will start airing March 25th!

THE SECOND SEASON WILL
explore this dark time in history from the Templar perspective, embracing an authentically grittier, darker, and more brutal Medieval period than has ever been seen before. Tom Forbes joins the cast as violent Prince Louis of France, Clementine Nicholson as his wife Princess of Burgundy, Genevieve Gaunt is his sister princess Isabella of France. Pádraic Delaney returns as  as Gawain, Simon Merrells as Tancrede, Julian Ovenden as William DeNogaret and Jim Carter as Pope Boniface VIII.

But his real problem is not the enemy, but rather his own army which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service. Yet if Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid his military assignments, he’ll be in violation of Catch-22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specifies that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers which are real and immediate is the process of a rational mind; a man is considered insane if he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions, but a request to be removed from duty is evidence of sanity and therefore makes him ineligible to be relieved from duty. WHO'S IN THE SQUADRON?

Daniel David Stewart will play Milo, a quintessential Brooklyn native, possessed with the fierce determination and charm to bring his grand plans to fruition. Milo is a war profiteer who has figured out how to put himself in the Mess hall supervisor position in order to begin his trading syndicate.

Austin Stowell will portray Nately, Yossarian’s closest friend. He is someone who had lived his young life without trauma and is in love with Clara, a prostitute in Rome.

Rafi Gavron will play Aarfy, Yossarian’s navigator who is frequently lost. When he starts recounting stories we get a glimpse into his darker mind and soon see it manifest on a weekend away.

Graham Patrick Martin will portray Orr, Yossarian’s tentmate, and pilot of another plane in Yossarian’s squadron. Orr is very well liked and has a goofy demeanour; he is also a great handyman who has a specific skill set to see him through the war.

Pico Alexander will play Clevinger, the pilot of another plane. He and Yossarian enjoy each other’s company, yet each believes the other is a fool for holding the worldview he holds. Jon Rudnitsky is McWatt, Yossarian’s pilot. He is a prankster who in his spare time likes to fly too low to any and all structures. He thinks he understands how world works and is not afraid to give his opinions about it.

Gerran Howell will play Kid Sampson, McWatt’s shy, boyish co-pilot, whose unspectacular and unremarkable life will end, spectacularly and remarkably, at McWatt’s hands.

Lewis  Pullman is Major Major, an Air Corps Cadet who later becomes Squadron Commander. He has never had friends and tries to figure out the best way to go unnoticed through the war.

Two period set series for you today. 'Deadline' reports that George Clooney will topline Hulu's new WW2 series CATCH 22 based on Joseph Heller's book. Set in Italy during World War II, it is the story of the incomparable, artful dodger Yossarian, a bombardier for the U.S. Air Force, which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service. If Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid the perilous missions he’s assigned, he’ll be in violation of CATCH 22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specified that people who were crazy were not obliged to fly missions, but anyone who applied to stop flying was showing a rational concern for his safety and was, therefore, sane and had to fly.

Earlier last week I announced Ray Winstone as the first cast member of ABC's new historical series OF KINGS AND PROPHETS in which he will play King Saul of Israel, and now Maisie Richardson Sellers has joined him as princess Michal, his youngest daughter!
