After casting Florence Pugh and Christopher Abbott in the lead role, Netflix added Ciaran Hinds, Mike Faist and Hoon Lee to the cast of EAST OF EDEN mini series adaptation of Steinbeck's classic novel producedby Zoe Kazan,
whose grandad Elia directed the original film, and now we have the
first teaser for the series that will arrive sometime this Autumn. Set in
California’s Salinas Valley over a period that stretches from the
Civil War to the end of World War I, the epic novel
tells the interconnected stories of the Hamilton family, an Irish
immigrant family with nine children, and the Trask family, lead by the
wealthy Adam Trask (to be played by Abbott in the seven part series). Check out the rather epic teaser trailer below and tell us what you think, will you watch?
Nay..not for us for sure. My husband was asking me whether we want to subscribe Netflix again since there's a cheap deal available, but I am still not sure about it.
They did have upfronts last night (the evening when they are announcing programmes coming up this and next year), so go their press site and read what is announced to decide whether you like what is coming in the future. These days they mostly make shows for kids based on Asian mangas.
And we continue with the tasting menu… You don’t post updates anymore, you organise full festivals. This one really caught my attention. And Florence Pugh keeps seeming like a better actress every time I see her, she has something very natural even when she plays difficult or intense characters. At this rate, I’m going to need a holiday just to keep up with your blog.
I had three posts yesterday (one in the morning, two in the evening) and then two for this morning as well, told ya I post mornings and evenings as I work in between LOL Aren't you always on a holiday, these days? LOL
Hahaha, yes, lately it probably looks like I’m always on holiday. But because I’m such an active person, there never seem to be enough hours in the day. I get up very early, go to bed late, and barely sleep five hours. And even so, more and more things — and comments waiting for replies — keep piling up. Like you, I’m one of those people who enjoys replying to comments and taking some time for the people who write. But always happy to read you.
GIVE SOME LOVE TO YOUR DEZZY :) DON'T FORGET THAT BLOGGER'S NEW COMMENT BOX OFTEN REQUIRES FOR YOU TO DISABLE PROTECTION ON YOUR BROWSER IN ORDER TO COMMENT.

Enjoy the forever holiday and commenting! I am off to open up my office for today, have a 678 pages long fantasy saga to translate.
DeleteYou know we aren't fans of Pugh. However, I will add this to my Netflix lineup because I was drawn to the trailer.
ReplyDeletePoo is off putting to me for some reason, she always seems fakish.
DeleteI've only read Steinbeck's "The Winter of Our Discontent" and "The Grapes of Wrath."
ReplyDeleteI read them all as well, cannot say I am a fan of his.
