I told you before that Nikolaj Arcel is planning an epic biopic on Hans Christian Andersen MY FAIRYTALE LIFE and now he has revealed Casper Kjaer Jensen as the lead. In the film, Hans Christian Andersen, a socially awkward outsider, moves to Copenhagen with an impossible dream of
conquering the city’s vibrant cultural life and becoming a famous artist. In a colourful world of actors, playwrights and benefactors, Hans Christian fights to gain recognition, acceptance, and love. The production should start towards the end of the year in Denmark.

ReplyDeleteThis one really appeals to me. Hans Christian Andersen’s life already feels like a fairy tale mixed with melancholy, so this could turn into something very special.
You chose a younger and blonder picture of Casper Kjaer Jensen, but I actually like him more as a redhead… maybe because I used to be one myself. Still, I think he’s an excellent choice. I can easily imagine Hans Christian Andersen looking like that.

Oy, I could not find a pretty picture of him older LOL He did not look well in the newer ones. Blonds and gingers are the prettiest people.
