THE HAIRDRESSER MYSTERIES AT BBC
Beside the previously announced Agatha Christie series The Detection Club, British broadcaster BBC has announced work on THE HAIRDRESSER MYSTERIES as well to be produced in West Midlands. Created by Jim Cartwright it will follow a high-end hairdresser, Lily Petal, played by Sally Phillips, who opts out of the competitive city
scene to buy a small village hairdressers at the top of a cobbled street. Everyone tells their hairdresser everything and soon she becomes the hub of her new village’s secrets and revelations. Using her own brand of uncannily developed hairdressing intuitive, empathy and understanding, Lily begins to solve the mysteries of the village.

So typical Agatha Christie!
ReplyDeleteI do not think it will be period set like Christie.
DeleteSounds interesting, maybe.

DeleteParece divertida. Gracias por la reseña. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteBe welcome.
DeleteUn film ironico e leggero, in cui Sally Phillips alla guida diventa simbolo di libertà e autoironia.
ReplyDeleteBuona domenica
Yes, there will probably be lots of autoironia.
DeleteI'm sure hairdressers have the best gossip. I read somewhere that because they are touching your scalp and it feels a bit intimate, people usually open up to their hairdressers more than anyone else.
ReplyDeleteNot me, for sure, not that I have used hairdressers a lot in my life, but I just sit quiet and reveal nothing to them.
DeleteI'd be the same, sitting quietly, but I don't use hairdressers either. I just have my mom or Jason trim my ends. Kyle's stepmom is a hairdresser and she always had some interesting stories.
DeleteI used to go for shaving head but I got tired for having to wait for those five minutes of job and when it got pricey as well I just said that is it, from this day on you are shaving your head yourself once a week and I have never looked back.
DeleteYep, that's what Jason did too. Bought a good electric shaver and never looked back either.
