SAM HEUGHAN, ELEANOR TOMLINSON, ALFRED ENOCH TO LEAD COUPLE NEXT DOOR THRILLER SERIES! LENA HEADEY TO LEAD 19TH CENTURY WILD WEST NETFLIX TV SERIES THE ABANDONS!

  THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR
TO STAR SAM HEUGHAN AND ELEANOR TOMLINSON
Starz and British Channel 4 have set a cast for their six part thriller series THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR giving the leads to Sam Heughan and Eleanor Tomlinson. It follows Tomlinson’s Evie and Pete (Alfred Enoch), who move into an upscale neighborhood and find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. They find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, traffic cop Danny (Heughan) and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka (Jessica De Gouw), but after Danny and Evie share a passionate night together there is trouble ahead.

  LENA HEADEY TO LEAD
THE ABANDONS EPIC SERIES
Lena Headey will play Fiona
News coming from Netflix is that Lena Headey has been set as lead in Kurt Sutter's new Western series THE ABANDONS set in the 1850s. It follows a group of diverse, outlier families pursuing their Manifest Destiny in 1850s Oregon when a corrupt force of wealth and power, coveting their land, tries to force them out. These abandoned souls, the kind of lost souls living on the fringe of society, unite their tribes to form a family and fight back. In this bloody process, “justice” is stretched beyond the boundaries of the law. THE ABANDONS will explore that fine line between survival and law, the consequences of violence, and the corrosive power of secrets, as this family fights to keep their land. Headey will play Fiona, a strong, devout matriarch who, unable to have her own children, took in four orphans to create her own family. Driven by a higher purpose, and a strong-willed Irish temper, her faith and love for her family trump all. Sutter is also preparing historical horror movie THIS BEAST, about a trapper’s battle with an elusive beast ravaging an 18th-century English village. That one was inspired by real life French village from the 1700s.

  1. Lena Headey reminds me of Maggie O'Connell in Northern Exposure. We are watching You season 4 these days. First season is my favourite...2,3 are just repeat...now 4 is slightly different.

    1. Happy binging! I usually have a series for each day in a week, and then I watch them an episode a week for a few months, I prefer that to binging. Tonight SANDMAN tomorrow THE ENGLISH with Emily Blunt.

  2. TV Westerns are back! And I'm definetely hooked on them. Tjis sounds like a modern take on Dr. Quinn, with a touch of Godless.

    1. We can hardly compare anything Sutter makes with Dr. Quinn LOL He is vile and violent, in one of his series he shows a killed pregnant lady with her belly cut and baby removed and thrown a few meters further. He is as sick as it gets.

    2. As I said a modern take. I've never watched Sons of Anarchy or The Shield so I cannot comment on Sutter, but being made by Netflix...that's enough

    3. Yep, Netflix and him are a perfect match, both glorifiers of violence and crime.

  3. How do you have an affair with your neighbor when you know the other neighbors are peeking through the curtains all hours of the day? My neighbors are nice, but I could be getting murdered in the street and they would never know. Jason had to walk across the court last summer to check on the old couple that live there because their car alarm had been going off for over 10 minutes. Their lights were on, but nobody was shutting off the alarm. You would think one of their 4 closer neighbors would have been more bothered by the sound and walked over, but none did. Thankfully they were fine. They just didn't hear the alarm over their blaring tv. The joys of being old, I suppose LOL.

    1. I mean who could resist a hot, alpha cop interested in a quick shag? But with Alfred Enoch for a hubby I would never go for Heughan.

    2. Agreed. Girl has one fine hubby at home and it isn't good enough? She must be outta her damn mind on that one.

    3. And Alfred is not just fine, he is so very dear and kind, has a very warm radiance about him, very charming. The last of his films I watched was that Christmas movie from Sky last holidays and he was so cute in it and loveable.
