replaces Lorenzo Richelmy as ambitious crime boss Tenax, Liraz Charhi as Berenice, queen of the conquered Judea’s held captive in Rome, Johannes Haukur Johannesson as imposing Norse gladiator Viggo and Rupert Penry-Jones as Marsus, a wealthy patrician and retired general who desire’s
the throne.
Eneko Sagardoy, Pepe Barroso and Goncalo Almeida will play the Corsi brothers, while Kyshan Wilson is female gladiator in training Aura. Alicia Edogamhe plays a slave who is sold to Marsus and Antonia (Gabriella Pession). Roland Emmerich is directing.

After our spotlight on the Musketeers yesterday, we are staying in France today as well since Vincent Cassel, Louis Garrel and Diane Kruger have been cast in StudioCanal's SAINT EX period set drama movie. Set in 1930 it centres around Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, an Airmail 
pilot in Argentina. When his best friend who happens to be Airmail’s best pilot Henri Guillaumet disappears in the Andes, Saint-Ex decides to set out in search of him, against all odds. This impossible quest forces him to push beyond his limits, turning his capacity to dream into his greatest strength.

CineEuropa reports that Anne Fontaine has cast Raphael Personnaz, Vincent Perez and Jeanne Balibar in her biopic on Maurice Ravel titled BOLERO. Doria Tillier, Emmanuelle Devos, Suzanne Clement and Sophie Guillemin will also star. Netflix will stream the film

I will watch SAINT EX because of Diane Kruger. Is BOLERO an Italian film?

DeleteThe fact that Bolero will be in Netflix makes me suspicious. The St. Exupery film sounds good but his life was so asventurous, he should be the subject of a miniseries.
ReplyDeleteBolero is not a Netflix movie, they just prebought it from the company that is producing it, if I remember well, French television is the main producer, alongside Spain and some other country.
DeleteHonestly, I think Vincent has found the fountain of youth because he never changes. He’s probably 500 years old hoarding the serum. Or a vampire.
ReplyDeleteWhich one, Perez or Cassel? I think that Cassel does look older when you compare him with his younger pics, but still has fit body due to having a very young new wife. Perez has always been one of my French faves.
DeleteCassel. I suppose I should google his younger pics but it's like every time I see him he just doesn't look any older from the last time I've seen him!
