First up, we have A TOWN CALLED MALICE which should hit Sky channels around Europe from March 16th! Pitched as a blend of Dallas and Pulp Fiction to the sounds of Duran Duran, this neon-soaked, 80s-set cocktail of crime thriller stars Martha Plimpton as Mint Ma and Jason Flemyng as Albert Lord, our dear boy Lex Shrapnel as Leonard Lord with Eliza Butterworth as Carly Lord and Jack Rowan as Gene Lord alongside Tahirah Sharif in the role of Cindy Carter! Daniel Sharman and Dougray Scott are also in the cast.
A TOWN CALLED MALICE
set amongst the beach clubs and palm trees of the
Costa del Sol in the early 80s, follows the Lords, a crime family of
petty thieves from South London, as they decamp from London to Spain to
profit from an unexpected windfall – and to escape the attention of the
police in a high-profile murder enquiry. But while they hope to
recapture their former glory, they spend as much time battling each
other as they do their opponents.

Ugh! Don't tell me that. I still rock out to that song weekly as I'm doing my laundry and other household chores. It tricks me into being happy when I'd rather be doing anything else other than chores LOL!
Even worse. Pretty soon we'll be hitting 50. I have a hard enough time denying my age as I sit here with dye touching up my roots and a mud mask on my face trying to slough off the aging dead skin. Might as well toss on some Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and embrace it at this point.

I'm seeing some interesting shows advertised on AppleTV. I don't have it.
ReplyDeleteApple TV is slowly becoming a better investment than investing into Netflix.
DeleteExtra Polations sounds quite interesting. Not sure if we still have Apple TV...I remember we had 1 year, but there ain't much to watch...
ReplyDeleteIt is getting better, methinks, they have more programmes now.
DeleteExtrapolations looks good. I like futuristic movies. It'll be interesting to see if any of those things happen during our lifetime.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a series, not a movie.Catch it on Apple TV Plus if you have it.
DeleteI like Tobey Maguire so it has that going for it.
ReplyDeleteHe will probably be just in one episode, I think the one with the awful Whitaker.
DeleteA Town Called Malice, um yes please. They better have the best of the best 80's tracks on there.
ReplyDeleteCrime goes better with a dose of 80s hits LOL I was just told earlier this week that Cyndi's Girls Just Want to Have Fun is now 30 years old!

DeleteSorry, not 30 but 40 LOL it came out at the beginning of the 80s, I was five.
