ARMIE HAMMER, TIMOTHEE CHALAMET OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED FOR CALL ME BY YOUR NAME MOVIE SEQUEL FIND ME!

    'CALL ME BY YOUR NAME'
ARMIE HARMER AND TIMOTHEE CHALAMET TO RETURN
I'm definitely among those who thought the two of them had an absolute lack of chemistry and expressiveness in Call Me By Your Name as two gay
Armie Hammer will return as Oliver
lovers who fall for each other one lazy summer and separate in the end, but I liked the film well enough (although God's Own Country from the same year was inarguably massively superior and deserved the success that Call Me By Your Name got much better) and now it has been confirmed that Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet will be back for the sequel which will be based on Andre Aciman's follow up novel FIND ME.

In it, Elio’s (Timothee Chalamet) father, Samuel (Michael Stuhlbarg), is on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train with a beautiful young woman upends Sami’s plans and changes his life forever. Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver (Armie Hammer), now a New England college professor with a family, suddenly finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic. Luca Guadagnino will again helm the movie.

  1. It's coming up really slowly, though. A few days ago, I read that the director said he still hasn't even met the future script writer (because of the virus), or maybe even chosen who will write it. Mess, if you ask me. But hey, the movie will come out so, that's what matters. Now about the third, not sure that's gonna happen.

    1. Yeah, I know, we can't expect it will go into any kind of production any time soon, so this news is just about the actors being confirmed. The director is not even sure if he will work according to the second book, or write the story differently.

    2. We liked the first one, we'll all tune in for the second one... and probably like it as well!

  2. I enjoyed much of "Call Me By Your Name" so I would definitely go to the sequel, whenever it comes out.

  3. I haven't seen this one yet and don't see it happening any time soon. This quarantine has me so busy that I can cry. Ok, so I have actually cried a few times already.. but it has me ready to cry again. :)

    1. I can't remember when was the last time I cried, probably as a teenager.

    2. Really??? Why? Maybe I'm a cry baby, but my eyes get filled with tears when I'm overwhelmed.

    3. I think I went through too much shit in my life and developed a sort of a 'notbotheredbyanything' attitude as a sort of a defensive mechanism. When you had a crappy childhood, went through wars, hungers, bombings, now even epidemics :), there is really no more room for tears unless one is watching a film in which a doggie is dying.

  5. I have been living under the rock so I totally missed Call Me By Your Name. I just watched the trailer now of the first one and I like the cinematic shots. I'll watch the first one and see how it goes.

    1. It is very atmospheric in depicting a very long, mellow, lazy summer and passions born out of boredom.

  6. Hammer is so boring to watch, I may catch this one when I need a good nap.
