   'ROCKETMAN' TRAILER
WITH TARON EGERTON, RICHARD MADDEN AND JAMIE BELL
We're launching the new working week with the first trailer for Elton John biopic ROCKETMAN with first photos of Taron Egerton as Elton himself and currently the most popular Brit Richard Madden as his manager and

lover John Reid (you will hardly recognise him with the dark new hairdo) with whom he worked for more than twenty years. The movie, scheduled to start its cinematic life next May around the world, also stars Bryce Dallas Howard
Richard Madden plays Elton's manager and lover John Reid
as Elton's mother Sheila Eileen. Jamie Bell plays his songwriting partner Bernie Taupin whom he met when they both applied for a job at a record company back in the late 60s. Steven Mackintosh and Gemma Jones also star!

  ROCKETMAN
a mix of fantasy and reality, is a very honest and uncensored story of Elton John's life, from his years as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music through becoming world wide pop superstar and his influential and enduring
The film was originally supposed to star Tom Hardy or James McAvoy
musical partnership with Bernie Taupin with whom he wrote the song which became the name of the movie itself. The movie will also mention Elton's drug abuse. Dexter Fletcher, who was brought in to finish Queen biopic

Bohemian Rhapsody, is directing this one as well. Taron Egerton is also singing the songs in the movie beside portraying Elton John, but that is no big surprise as we were all mindblown by his voice in the animated feature Sing in which he gave his voice to the smooth voiced gorilla.

  1. Rocketman will be amazing! What an incredible like Elton John has lived. So few stand the test of time like he has. A genuine star if there ever was one.

    1. it is interesting that it isn't really a biopic, but a bunch of fantasy musical scenes based on certain episodes in his life and his feelings.

  2. "Based on a true fantasy" -- LOL! I'm no fan of Taron Egerton but he seems to be good in the trailer so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt!

    1. although I kinda have a feeling Elton was not nearly as hot as Taron is even with that horrid 70's hairdo.

  3. NOPE. Just.... NOPE. And the same goes for that Queen movie. There's a lack of charisma that turns any star into a caricature.

    1. Tsk, tsk. I'm looking forward to the Queen movie too. Guess we can't agree on them all then, huh Blue?

    2. I think the Queen movie could be good because Rami Malek really is a good actor and it was partially directed by always nice Bryan Singer.

  4. Oh Richard Madden, so dreamy, so handsome. He does look completely different here though!
