1ST PERIOD SET MOVIE IMAGES FROM 18TH CENTURY SATYRE SAVAGE HOUSE WITH RICHARD E. GRANT, JACK FARTHING, POST WW2 SET ITALIAN FILM MY PLACE IS HERE

 1ST PERIOD SET FILM IMAGES
FROM SAVAGE HOUSE 18TH CENTURY FILM
First up today, an image from Peter Glantz directed movie SAVAGE HOUSE set against the backdrop of 18th century England, a massive pox outbreak, and Jacobite uprising – it is a darkly satirical story of Sir Chauncey Savage (Richard E. Grant) and Lady Savage (Claire Foy) and their blindpursuit of a better life. It is not without a tinge of irony that their family name is the Savages, for this is a Savage House indeed. Filled with duels, decadence, and bloodshed, this is a madcap play on class and power. Bel Powley, Jack Farthing, Pip Torrens also star.

POST WW2 SET MY PLACE IS HERE
Meanwhile, from Italy comes Daniela Porto and Cristiano Bortone directed MY PLACE IS HERE set in the aftermath of WWII against the conservative backdrop of Southern Italy, just as Italian women have gained the right to vote. When single mother Marta (Ludovica Martino) accepts the proposal of an older farmer, she meets Lorenzo, the village’s openly gay wedding planner (Marco Leonardi) and forges an unlikely friendship with him. Lorenzo introduces her to a hidden community of gays, sparking Marta to challenge societal prejudices.

  FIRST RENEGADE NELL
PICS FROM DISNEY PLUS SERIES
We have announced this one years ago and now Disney Plus has finally sent us the first images from their new eight part historical adventure series RENEGADE NELL from Happy Valley creator and scribe Sally Wainwright which should start streaming sometime in spring next year. So stay tuned, my spylings, as I will give you the first trailer for this new series as soon as we get one from Disney, probably early next year.
  IN THIS NEW EPIC ADVENTURE
Louisa Harland plays the title role of Nell, a quick-witted and courageous young woman who finds herself framed for murder and unexpectedly becomes the most notorious highwaywoman in 18th Century England. But when a magical spirit called Billy Blind (Nick Mohammed) appears, Nell realises her destiny is bigger than she ever imagined. Frank Dillane plays Nell’s fickle friend and sometime adversary Charles Devereux, a charming rogue with a dangerous, villainous alter ego. Adrian Lester plays the Earl of Poynton, a master political schemer and manipulator who joins forces against Nell with Sofia Wilmot (Alice Kremelberg), a young widow who wants power and independence at any cost. Joely Richardson plays eccentric newspaper magnate Lady Eularia Moggerhanger, whilst Pip Torrens appears as Lord Blancheford – the father of Sofia and her feckless, bullying brother Thomas (Jake Dunn). Meanwhile, Ényì Okoronkwo also stars as Rasselas, a spirited stable boy who joins Nell and her sisters on the run in his own bid for freedom, with newcomers Bo Bragason and Florence Keen as Nell’s two younger sisters Roxy and George, and Craig Parkinson as Nell’s kind-hearted father Sam.
