While this is already available for streaming as of this month over at ITVX for viewers in United Kingdom, it will hit Northern American audience March 17th when the three episode mini series NOLLY will start airing on PBS. If I got it right it will also stream on Foxtel in Australia and it had its linear UK premiere on ITV during New Year holidays. Created by Russell T. Davies, this series is exploring the reign, and fall from grace, of the inimitable British soap star, Noele Gordon played by Helena Bonham Carter. The cast also includes Max Brown, Mark Gattis, and Augustus Prew.

 NOLLY MINI TV SERIES TELLS THE STORY OF 

Noele (Helena Bonham Carter) who was a legend in her own lifetime. As flame-haired widow Meg Richardson in the long-running soap opera Crossroads, she was one of the most famous people in Britain. Then in 1981, at the height of the show’s success and the peak of Nolly’s fame, she was axed without ceremony, without warning and with no explanation. With the boss’s words “all good things must come to an end” ringing in her ears, Noele Gordon found herself thrown out of the show that was her life for over 18 years. such will be the case with STONEHOUSE in which real life married couple Matthew Macfadyen and Keeley Hawes following the life and times of disgraced Labour minister John Stonehouse who faked his own death back in the 70s. ITVX plans to launch at least one flagship show per week! 

 THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM 

LORD OF THE RINGS ANIMATED MOVIE  SETS VOICE CAST

New Line Cinema has set voice cast for their animated epic movie LORD OF THE RINGS: THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM which will follow the House of Helm Hammerhand, the mighty King of Rohan voiced by Brian Cox! The story is set 183 years before the original movie trilogy. A sudden attack by Wulf (Luke Pasqualino), a clever and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg – a mighty fortress that will later come to be known as Helm’s Deep. Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation, Hera (Gaia Wise), the daughter of Helm, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on their total destruction. Miranda Otto will narrate the story as Éowyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan! The film will arrive April 12th, 2024!

Augustus Prew joins the cast as Tony Adams, Nolly’s Crossroads co-star, devoted friend, confidante, and her occasional chauffer.

Searchlight Pictures has, meanwhile, released the first teaser trailer for its November 18th dark comedy thriller THE MENU, starring Anya Taylor Joy, Ralph Fiennes, and Nicholas Hoult. In this movie directed by Mark Mylod, Anya and Nicholas play a couple who travels to a coastal island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef (Fiennes) has prepared a lavish menu, with some shocking surprises. And when you watch the teaser you will realise they are truly shocking. John Leguizamo, Janet McTeer, and Aimee Carrero are also invited to the spooky dinner.
