MICHAEL CRICHTON'S 'MICRO'

TO BE TURNED INTO A MOVIE

Sf and fantasy adaptations today, people, beginning with Michael Crichton's MICRO which is supposed to be directed by Joachim Ronning. Crichton's last written novel, finished by Richard Preston after his death, is a high concept thriller that follows a group of graduate students lured to Hawaii to work for a mysterious biotech company only to find themselves miniaturized and cast out into the rainforest, with nothing but their scientific expertise and wits to protect them. Ronning, who finished the latest instalment of Pirates of the Caribbean is also set to helm Tom Cruise in Methuselah epic movie.

 'KING KONG SKULL ISLAND'

FEMALE LEAD TV SERIES!
While some parts of the world are still enjoying the latest Tom Hiddleston lead big screen adaptation of KING KONG SKULL ISLAND, a television series with the same title is also in the works but with a female lead! Based on Merian C. Cooper’s King Kong and DeVito ArtWorks’ Skull Island it will have a female-led, multicultural ensemble that delves into the wonders and horrors of Skull Island and its origins.

Here's a tasty lead star switch: as 'Deadline' reports our favourite Scott Ewan McGregor has taken over what was meant to be Charlie Hunnam's male lead in ZOE romantic movie which already has French star Lea Seydoux in the lead female role.

  To be shot in Montreal this Spring, it will see them playing two colleagues at a revoluti- onary research lab who design technology to improve and perfect romantic relation- ships. As their work progresses, their discoveries become more profound than they could ever have imagined. As you know, you will be watching Ewan next March as Lumiere in Disney's live action Beauty (as if) and the Beast.

The essence of our lives Tom Hiddleston plays Captain James Conrad, a former British SAS officer and a hunter tracker suffering from symptoms of shell shock. Samuel L. Jackson appears as Packard, a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army hired to chopper the group of explorers on the expedition. John Goodman is William "Bill" Randa, a government official in charge of the expedition. Brie Larson is Weaver, a war photojournalist and peace activist.  Toby Kebbell is Chapman, a Major in the US Army and right hand man to Packard! John C. Reilly is Ralph, a World War II solider who was stranded on Skull Island who knows the creatures of the islands and is a friend of the natives.

Monster movies for you today, starting with the super exciting second trailer for next year's biggest (like literally) monster adventure KONG: SKULL ISLAND which will ape its way into cinemas next March with the cast lead by our most beloved Brit Tom Hiddleston! With Hiddleston as the leader of the explorers, and also starring Brie Larson (As a photo journalist and peace activist), Samuel L. Looking for any way to get away from the life and town he was born into, Tripp (Lucas Till), a high school senior, builds a Monster Truck from bits and pieces of scrapped cars. After an accident at a nearby oil drilling site displaces a strange and subterranean creature with a taste and a talent for speed, Tripp may have just found the key to getting out of town and a most unlikely friend. Rob Lowe, Barry Pepper and Danny Glover round up the cast of the family friendly movie!

Some Comic Con photos that I forgot to show you yesterday, starting with the first one from KING KONG: SKULL ISLAND showing Tom Hiddleston in front of a very big skull, since it has been confirmed that the ape will be bigger in this movie than ever before, more than 30m tall! Brie Larson and John Goodman also go on an expedition with Hiddles after a satellite shot reveals an unknown island in the 70s! The Kong is back next March!
