PREMIUM SPOTLIGHT ON THE GOLD MINI SERIES WHICH STARTS NEXT WEEK ON BBC WITH HUGH BONNEVILLE, JACK LOWDEN, TOM CULLEN, DOMINIC COOPER

 THE GOLD BBC DRAMA
WITH JACK LOWDEN, HUGH BONEVILLE, DOMINIC COOPER
BBC has released trailer from their upcoming new drama series THE GOLD starring Hugh Bonneville, Jack Lowden, Dominic Cooper, Charlotte Spencer, Tom Cullen, Emun Elliott, and Stefanie Martini! The series will start February 12th on BBC One and will later air on Paramount Plus too for viewers in North America!

ON THE 26th NOVEMBER 1983
six armed men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport, and inadvertently stumbled across gold bullion worth £26m. What started as 'a typical Old Kent Road armed robbery' according to detectives at the time, became a seminal event in British criminal history, remarkable not only for the scale of the theft - at the time the biggest in global history - but for its wider legacy. The disposal of the bullion caused the birth of large-scale international money laundering, provided the dirty money that helped fuel the London Docklands property boom, united blue and white collar criminals and left controversy and murder in its wake.

WHO IS IN FOR SOME GOLD?
Jack Lowden plays south London/Kent criminal Kenneth Noye who was involved in helping the robbers with the disposal of the gold bullion. Hugh Bonneville is Brian Boyce the top Met detective who heads up the investigation by speical request of his superiors. Dominic Cooper is dodgy solicitor/businessman also caught up in schemes to hide and invest the money raised by the stolen bullion. Charlotte Spencer is eager young detective Nicki Jennings who helps on the investigating team. Tom Cullen plays criminal John Palmer while Emun Elliott stars as Met detective Tony Brightwell. Daniel Ings, Adam Nagaitis, Sam Spruell, are also in the cast!

BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD TAKES FEMALE LEAD IN MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY'S 'GOLD' ADVENTURE! EPIC 'THE SECRET RIVER' HISTORICAL SERIES TRAILER WITH OLIVER JACKSON COHEN

BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD
TAKES FEMALE LEAD IN MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY'S 'GOLD'
One of the prettiest red heads in Hollywood, who took the lead female role this summer in this year's biggest worldwide hit JURASSIC WORLD, Bryce Dallas Howard has, according to 'Deadline' joined Matthew McConaughey in GOLD!
She will play Kay, the longtime girlfriend of McConaughey’s character, who has supported him through thick and thin, but whose capacity and loyalty are tested as the hunt for gold pushes their relationship to its breaking point: He teams with an equally luckless geologist (Edgar Ramirez) to execute a grandiose, last-ditch effort to find gold deep in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia. Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell, Bruce Greenwood and Stacy Keach also star.

'THE SECRET RIVER' TRAILER
FOR OLIVER JACKSON COHEN HISTORICAL MINI SERIES
And something historical for you today: Australian mini series THE SECRET RIVER in which our favourite Oliver Jackson Cohen plays William Thornhill, an illiterate Thames bargeman and a man of quick temper but deep feelings, who steals a load of timber and is transported to New South Wales in 1806. Like many of the convicts, he's pardoned within a few years and settles on the banks of the Hawkesbury River. Perhaps the Governor grants him the land or perhaps he just takes it - the Hawkesbury is at the extreme edge of settlement at that time and normal rules don't apply. However he gets the land, it's prime riverfront acreage. It looks certain to make him rich. There's just one problem with that land: it's already owned. It's been part of the territory of the Darug people for perhaps forty thousand years. They haven't left fences or roads or houses, but they live on that land and use it, just as surely as Thornhill's planning to do. They aren't going to hand over their land without a fight. Spears may be primitive weapons, but settlers know that they can kill a man as surely as a ball of lead from a musket.
