THE GERMAN GIRL NOVEL
TO BECOME TV SERIES
The book by Armando Lucas Correa, which has been translated in more than 20 countries, THE GERMAN GIRL, will be turned into a TV series by
300's Gianni Nunnari. Initially set in Berlin just before the Second World War, the novel charts the life of young girl Hannah Rosenthal, who until recently lived a charmed upbringing. With the rise of the Nazis however, the streets are increasingly draped in ominous flags and Hannah is no longer welcome in the places she once considered home. A glimmer of hope appears in the shape of the St. Louis, the transatlantic liner promising Jews safe passage to Cuba. At first, the liner feels like a luxury, but as the Rosenthal family’s journey progresses and the circumstances of war change, the ship that was to be their salvation seems likely to become their doom. Many novels and films have covered the infamous Voyage of the Damned before.

THUNDER FORCE TRAILER

Your daily doze of laughter today (if you find Melissa McCarthy funny, that is) is the first trailer for comedy movie THUNDER FORCE in which
McCarthy and Octavia Spencer are not your ordinary superheroes. The official synopsis says: in a world where supervillains are commonplace, two estranged childhood best friends reunite after one devises a treatment that gives them powers to protect their city. Netflix will be thundering this one April 9th worldwide. Check out the trailer below and tell us will you be watching? It has also been revealed this week that McCarthy will play a fake Hela (the impostor of Cate Blanchett's character) in Thor: Love and Thunder. She is already shooting her role of Ursula in Disney's live action The Little Mermaid remake.
