ABC has found the actors that will join Ty Burrell's new multicamera sitcom pilot FORGIVE & FORGET which follows the perennial life of the party Hank (Ty Burrell). After an unexpected diagnosis, Hank reconnects with his responsible adult son Ben (Rodriguez Marquette) in hopes of making new memories together. Rodriguez Marquette will play Ben, Hank’s responsible adult son, Diana Maria Riva will play Maria, Hank’s lively ex-wife and Ben’s nostalgic and affectionate mom. Kimia Behpoornia will play Izzy, Hank’s confident and blunt memory care therapist.
The latest new multicamera sitcom pilot to be ordered is an untitled one over at NBC which will follow Bobbie (Reba McEntire) who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) she never knew she had. Melissa Peterman will play a bartender at the tavern who wishes she was Bobbie’s sister. Pablo Castelblanco will play Steve, the accountant for the tavern who does his work at the bar. CBS has a Damon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr. comedy about a talk radio host and happily divorced “Poppa”, who has to drag his grown son, who has all his charm and none of his drive, kicking and screaming into adulthood before he turns 40. That one is from Tim Allen's Last Man Standing executive producer, and, speaking of Allen, as Deadline reports, he is apparently looking for a new family sitcom after he finishes Santa Clauses at Disney. CBS also has in works THEY'RE WITH ME, about two soulmates whose souls come with so much baggage — each has a messed-up 20-something kid and a dependent parent.
