Currently playing in Australia THE OSIRIS CHILD is set in a time of interplanetary colonization, following Sy Lombrok (Kellan Lutz), a former nurse who is now a drifter with a haunted past and who forms an unlikely alliance with Kane Sommerville (Daniel MacPherson), a lieutenant who works for off-world military contractor Exor. In a race against time they set out to rescue Kane's young daughter Indi (Teagan Croft) amid an impending global crisis precipitated by Exor.

 If you're more in a mood for sf laughs than sf action, there will be eruption of those in the insane IRON SKY 2 a delightfully bizarre sequel to the 2012 unexpected mega hit from Finland which had Nazis hiding in space. Now they apparently command an army of dinosaurs! The trailer below is as gorgeous as it is ridiculous and be sure not to miss the final scene because it will leave you in stitches :)

IRON SKY: THE COMING RACE hits theatres next February set twenty years after the events of Iron Sky, when the former Nazi Moonbase has become the last refuge of mankind. Earth was devastated by a nuclear war but buried deep under the wasteland lies a power that could save the last of humanity, or destroy it once and for all. The truth behind the creation of mankind will be revealed when an old enemy leads our heroes on an adventure into the Hollow Earth. Continuing our reports from New York Comic Con, you can feast your eyes today on the brand new trailer (showing stunning post apocalyptic landscapes and tons of magic) and stunning poster for MTV's small screen adaptation of famous fantasy epic novels THE SHANNARA CHRONICLES It has also been revealed that the epic series will start airing its ten episodes January 5th opening the brand new year television season of new shows with a special two hour episode!

THE WORLD OF ELVES
Based on super popular Terry Brooks epic fantasy SHANNARA novel saga the series follows Elvin princess Amberle (Poppy Drayton), human Eretria (Ivana Baquero) and elf-human hybrid Wil (Austin Butler) on their quest to save the world from an evil demon with their adventures set hundreds of years after the society has destroyed itself through nuclear holocaust. Along with the first character photos a new trailer has been released last night at those godawful MTV Awards for upcoming new epic fantasy series SHANNARA which is, believe it or not, arriving to MTV next January. Set thousands of years in the future in the world of elven kingdoms, the ten episode series will be the small screen adaptation of Terry Brook's popular fantasy novels. Austin Butler leads the cast in the lead role of Wil Ohmsford - half human and half elf - who discovers that he is the last of the legendary Shannara family.

POPPY DRAYTON IS AMBERLE  
Elven princess, agile, fit and capable, she has become the first female to be accepted as one of the Chosen, the special group of Elves responsible for the protection and care of the ancient Ellcrys tree. But unlike the rest of the Chosen, Amberle’s dangerous and heroic journey is just beginning.

DANIEL MACPHERSON IS ARION

The heir to the Elvin throne, Arion takes himself very seriously and is the opposite of his wilder brother Ander (Aaron Jakubenko).

IVANA BAQUERO IS ERETRIA  
A young woman from the wrong side of the tracks who’s been forced to use her beauty and wits to survive. She’s a human who has been raised in a den of thieves known as the Rovers. When she rescues elven prince Will (Austin Butler) from danger she becomes unwittingly tied to his quest to save the Four Lands.

Here's a new science fiction movie for us and coming with a rather hunky cast indeed: as 'Deadline' reports Kellan Lutz, Daniel MacPherson and Rachell Griffiths will lead Australian sf action movie SFv1! The movie, which has already started shooting, is set in the far future in an era of interplanetary colonization, with the story following a drifter who teams up with a military contractor to rescue the contractor’s daughter. Amid an impending global crisis caused by the contractor’s company, the trio must escape to safety! Bren Foster and Temuera Morrison are also starring.

As  I reported over the last year, we will be watching Australian hunk Daniel MacPherson as Elven prince Arion next year in SHANNARA epic series at MTV, while Kellan Lutz is to star in EXTRACTION action flick next year in which he will be the son of Bruce Willis who tries to save his father from terrorists.

Today you can check out the first trailer for the film in which Crowe plays a Pulitzer-winning writer who grapples with being a widower and father after a mental breakdown, while, 27 years later, his grown daughter struggles to forge connections of her own. The movie should arrive to theatres some time this Autumn or early winter.
