As TV Tonight reports, shooting has wrapped on new eight part series WHO THE HELL IS HAMISH? which will air later this year on Paramount +. The series is inspired by an industrious fraudster, and the group of victims who eventually decided they had had enough of him. The charming and cultured Hamish (Dominic Cooper) sets his sights on Bec (Claire van der Boom), a recently divorced single mother with three sons and access to a significant family trust. When Bec notices gaps in his story and some odd behaviour, what starts as private unease widens into something far larger: a pattern of deception spanning continents and suspected of leaving more than $70 million in its wake. Our dearest Joel Jackson also stars next to Simone Kessell.

BBC One and MGM + have issued first trailer for their TV series adaptation of Charles Dickens' A TALE OF TWO CITIES. The four parter will be set in London, 1782. Tensions run high in the war between France andBritain. A young woman, Lucie Manette (Mirren Mack) has her life upended when she receives a message from Paris - her father, assumed dead for almost 20 years, may be alive. The messenger, idealistic French emigré, Charles Darnay (François Civil), is arrested and charged with treason. Lucie enlists the help of a brilliant but erratic young lawyer, Sydney Carton (Kit Harington), to free Darnay in the hope he will lead her to Paris to track down her father. Lucie’s collision with Darnay and Carton unleashes a powerful and complex love triangle. Both men fight to be worthy of her love, and Lucie is torn over which one to choose. Yet neither man - physically so alike, spiritually poles apart - can escape the other. Instead, they find themselves bound together in life and death, through triumphs, tragedies, marriage, and murder. ITV has released some new images from their upcoming new six part thriller TV series THE PARTY which boasts quite a stellar leading duo with Luke Evans and Tom Cullen! Evans plays Martin Gilmour, a journalist shaped by his lifelong friendship with the wealthy and charismatic politician Ben Fitzmaurice (Cullen). Raised alone by his working-class mum, Sylvia (Joanna Scanlan), Martin wins a scholarship to an elite boarding school, where he first meets Ben. They forge an unbreakable bond, as Ben and theFitzmaurices give Martin the sense of belonging he has always craved. In turn, Martin remains unflinchingly loyal to Ben through even the greatest crises. Three decades on, Martin is invited to Ben’s lavish birthday party atthe Fitzmaurices' country pile. The news of the Conservative leader’s resignation threatens to derail Ben’s party, as he considers announcing his  intention to stand. Martin fears the publicity that Ben’s bid would bring, dredging up the secrets of their past with tragic consequences. The drama moves between the shocking events of the party and the police  investigation that follows, with flashbacks to Martin and Ben’s lives at school, university and London party  days. Sarah Solemani stars as Martin’s pregnant wife, Lucy. Lydia Leonard is Serena, Ben’s formidable wife, whilst Lindsay Duncan and Douglas Hodge play Ben’s parents, Lady Katherine and Lord George Fitzmaurice. Feels like I have been announcing this one for years, but now we finally have a trailer for Bill Nighy's movie adaptation of David Gilbert's

Variety has Today we are over in Romania, as I have a trailer for Sergiu Celibidache biopic THE YELLOW TIE in which John Malkovich plays the famous Romanian conductor.  THE STORY OF THE FILM IS SET IN 1812.

 After the great Battle of Borodino, French troops enter Moscow. But... what's this?! The streets of Moscow are deserted. Yet Napoleon's army was accustomed to something quite different. Crowds of, if not enthusiastic, then at least curious citizens. This was the case in all the capitals of Europe. But in Moscow – no one! As one of Napoleon's adjutants later wrote, it was then that they began to realize they would lose the war to this people. Empty streets, cawing crows, smiles fading from the French faces. Napoleon's adjutant, Michel Clément, marches on Moscow with a personal goal: to avenge a distant Russian ancestor, whom Tsar Vasily III locked in the Kremlin Tower and starved to death. He hates Russians, considering them barbarians. In the Kremlin, he encounters the few remaining monks of the Chudov Monastery, who have decided to... kill the Antichrist, that is, Napoleon himself. They are joined by a young girl, Maria, who has infiltrated the Kremlin and is obsessed with vengeance for her dead brother. British Sky has shared a trailer for their new six part thriller TV series WAR with Dominic West as tech titan Morgan Henderson and Sienna Miller as his estranged wife in a series that follows two of London’s most prestigious rival firms, Cathcarts and Taylor & Byrne, as they go head-to-head in the divorce case of the century. Each side is certain they’ll win. But as the case spirals and loyalties fracture, reputations are on the line, and everyone’s  playing to win. Joining West and Miller are Phoebe Fox and James McArdle as legal partners Serena Byrne and Nicholas Taylor, who represent Carla. In Morgan's corner is Beatrice Ubosi (Nina Sosanya) and St John Smallwood (Pip Torrens). Archie Renaux plays a young lawyer caught between them and Celia Imrie also stars. This is just the beginning as the series has been ordered for two seasons - season one’s explosive case is the first in an anthology of headline-making legal battles.
