Veronica Cleary heads into the holiday season juggling a mountain of manuscripts to proofread and a long-term boyfriend who refuses to commit. Determined to shake up her carefully ordered life and rediscover what she truly wants, she stumbles upon The X-Mas Club-a secret society of festive food lovers who have let go of the pressures of Christmas coupledom. Led by its founder, charming photographer Cullen Murdock, the group is all about cooking, giving back, and celebrating the season with heart. excited but nervous especially with the club's first rule being that members stay single during the holidays. Before she can team up with Cullen in the kitchen, she has to prove her culinary worth in the Great X-Mas Club Bake-Off. Her improvised desserts and his precision cooking couldn't be more different, but somewhere between the mixing bowls and midnight menus, their friendship begins to deepen into something more. As the lights twinkle and the aroma of Christmas baking fills the air, Veronica discovers that sometimes the best recipes are the ones that don't go according to plan.
