TV SERIES REVEALS CAST AT NETFLIX
Back in April I told you that Netflix is preparing a new TV series adaptation of AGE OF INNOCENCE and today the streamer has announced the lead cast. Camila Morrone as Ellen Olenska, Kristine Froseth as May Welland, Ben Radcliffe as Newland Archer and Margo Martindale as Mrs. Manson-Mingott will topline the series of forbidden love in 19th century
New York, a passionate and heart-rending love triangle exploring themes of freedom, duty, identity and love in all its forms. This fresh take is true to Wharton’s novel but will speak to a new generation as we traverse the ballrooms and bedrooms of these young people, asking the question what is love — and what is lust? And should we ultimately be driven by our heads or by our hearts?

DeleteI can't stomach that Froseth that was in a series (The Buccanneers) that shamed Wharton's work will now play May. It feels almost as a bad presage.
ReplyDeleteIt is such terrible business, I mean even Margo is a terrible actress and always has been, terrible casting, just terrible, but what was to be expected from Shitflix who put Emma Corrin as lead in their Austen series. They always have terrible casting in all their films and series.

ReplyDeleteThe gurls appeared in recent shows like Daisy Jones and Buccaneers, the boy I do not know much about.
DeleteI never watched either of those, so I guess that's why I am behind the times. I feel like most of the actors/actresses they hire these days all seem a bit bland. Pretty to look at, but most lack charisma, or that special something that makes you remember their name.
DeleteThe same goes for music stars these days, I used to follow charts weekly, not i do not even remember what was the last English song that I liked, probably none. I have turned to Romania, France, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine for music.
