THE RUMOUR TRAILER
FOR NEW RACHEL SHENTON SHOW
Channel 5 has released first trailer for their new five episode mini series THE RUMOUR which will have Oscar winner Rachel Shenton as the lead next to Joanne Whalley, Samuel Anderson, Emily Atack and
Ellie Haddington among others. Rachel
will be Joanna who moves with her young son, Alfie, to the quiet town
of Flinstead, seeking a fresh start. However, she quickly becomes
entangled in the lives of local mothers and the unsettling
dynamics of
the community. When Joanna stumbles upon an online rumour about a child
killer living in the town, she uses it to win over the mums at the
school gate. As gossip spreads, suspicions build, and Joanna finds
herself
drawn into a web of secrets and paranoia.
Balancing her efforts to protect her son with the growing unease in
town, Joanna struggles to distinguish between truth and hearsay. With
relationships strained and emotions running high, the
boundaries between
trust and fear blur.
The series explores how quickly small-town gossip can spiral out of
control, forcing Joanna to confront the unforeseen consequences of
curiosity and mistrust in her search for answers. The series arrives September 10th.

She is quite pleasant. Hope this one turns out good too.
ReplyDeleteAnd it seems she gives a really good performance judging by the trailer.
DeleteSpreading rumors usually leads to trouble. Minding your business is the best way to live a stress free life.
ReplyDeleteThat and staying away from people as much as possible, but then you become the target of rumours yourself....
DeleteIndeed! What's the funniest rumor you've heard about yourself? There was one going around our traveling craft fairs that Allison was not Jason's daughter, that he's her stepdad. Like, what? Unless I was the freaking Virgin Mary and she magically appeared seeing how he's the only man I've ever slept with, then I'd love to know how she's NOT his LMAO. Not to mention we have an older daughter too that's his spitting image, where did that one come from as well? People are wild with their stories.
DeleteMaybe they thought he was too young looking to have such a big daughter LOL
DeleteI don't know any rumours about myself, but I imagine neighbours see me as uptight partly because I am the only professor around and partly because I was raised without any friends or attention from the family so I grew up quiet and not very sociable and thus with not much social self esteem. Pluis I never really had a father so I find it difficult to talk to older men because I have nothing in common with them.
You've been secretly labeled as the grump down the road probably. It's odd how the quiet ones are usually mistaken for being mean or uptight. I used to be very shy and quiet and heard many times once someone got to know me they were surprised I was so nice because they thought I looked like a bitch before we officially met. As I get older though, the shyness is gone and I'll walk into a room like I'm a boss and will invert myself into any conversation. Once I stopped giving an eff what other people thought of me, socializing got so much easier.
DeleteThat is because you are now a succesful business woman and a lady that has achieved something, that gives you that new self esteem.
