ARMY OF SHADOWS AT CHANNEL 4
Channel 4 is looking to make a six part drama out of Joseph Kessel's book ARMY OF SHADOWS, which was already turned into a classic film depicting the emergence of the French Resistance to the Nazi occupation of France during World War 2.
Channel 4 will switch it into the story of how resistance takes shape in a near-future authoritarian Britain.
Under de facto American occupation, a former British army officer builds a covert resistance cell from scratch - navigating betrayal, moral compromise and the tension between patience and action - as young recruits fight to reclaim their country and their futures.
Across six thrilling episodes, the series chronicles the early days of the British Resistance. From first kills and internal betrayals to propaganda campaigns, internment camps, and a climactic political assassination - this is a story about how freedom is taken and how it can be won back. Ronan Bennett is writing the series.

ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed the film.
DeleteOh my Gosh! These two sound so good. About Walter's looks, Gattocito, I left you a picture in your messenger. You know, Walter Iuzzolino produced Hotel Portofino.
ReplyDeleteI thought you would hate the second one given that it will be moved into future.
