SEE FIRST TRAILER AND AIR DATE FOR BBC AND STAN'S PERIOD SET SERIES TEN POUND POMS SEASON 2

    TEN POUND POMS
FIRST TRAILER FOR THE SECOND SEASON
The new season starts next week
BBC has sent us the first trailer for the second season of their period set series TEN POUND POMS which sees the return of Michelle Keegan as nurse Kate Thorne, and Faye Marsay and Warren Brown as Annie and Terry. The series will return March 9th to BBC airing on Sunday evenings and will also stream on Stan at some point in Australia. You can check out the trailer for the new season below and tell us what you think.
WHAT IS THE SECOND SEASON STORY?
After a challenging first year in Australia, series two follows nurse Kate Thorne (Michelle Keegan) and the Roberts family (Faye Marsay and Warren Brown) into 1957 on their adventure down under, each determined against all odds to achieve their slice of the Australian dream. As Kate, Annie and Terry settle into their new lives, they each struggle to reconcile their hopes for the life they were promised with the harsh realities they face at Galgownie. We will also be introduced to the Skinner family, who arrive in Australia from Ireland ready to enjoy their new lives in the sunshine, plus unscrupulous landlord Benny Bates, who makes Terry an offer he can’t refuse as he attempts to put down roots for his family.

  1. Acho interessante série de época é algo que não vejo muito na TV, geralmente só tem séries de dias atuais, Dezmond abraços.

  2. Where can you watch the season 1? You can tell from the clothes, hair style and make up...it's 60s.
p.s It's Carnival season here...today we saw lots of funny costumes when we were out shopping...it's Weiberfastnacht and men ain't supposed to wear ties, or the ties would get cut off. Rose Monday is the climax of the carnival.

    1. It probably aired on BBC there as well if you have it on your cable TV.

Have fun at the carnival. Here in my country we are rioting in the streets trying to throw down the corrupted government.

  4. Oh, a period drama. That sounds interesting. I haven't seen the first season, but I'm curious now. March 9th is just around the corner. I'll have to look up the first season and add this to my watchlist. Thanks for sharing the trailer. I'm wondering what challenges they'll face in 1957.

  5. I was just going to ask if you watched it, Dezzy, because I remember earmarking this one to check out eventually. I'll be deleting it off my to-watch list after reading Malena's comment now.
