The costumes are great. We finished whole new season of All Creatures Great and Small...hope there will a new season this year too.
ReplyDeleteIt has not been announced yet.
DeleteI remember they devoted a complete episode of Yekaterina to this event. There , it was said that the germs had been brought to the Court by a Turkish envoy in the hope of smallpox killing the Empress
ReplyDeleteWould not be surprised, the Turks are devious and bloodthirsty like that. But then again she did have a genious plan to take over Turkey and put her grandson as the tzar of the new Eastern Holy Empire with the capital in Constantinople. And she would have done it easily if she was not stopped by Turkish croonies Brits who told her they would attack her if she conquers the Ottoman empire and since she was already dealing with the treacherous Germans and Austrians, she really could not afford war on the third side as well. The world would have looked different today if she was not stopped.
DeleteThey should ease a bit with Catherine, they have another film on her in the works with some older and fatter actress.
Mass vaccination saving lives, and yet still today we have many anti vaxxers walking among us.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind when they are against covid vax, but when they do not want to vax their little kids.... oy. They say we have a massive increase in small pox and similar diseases that have been eradicated previously. Now you unvax ed kid might survive, but some other that got it from them might not.
DeleteI agree. For the ones that have been tried and true like smallpox or hpv and whatnot and people still shun them, I'm like ??? I do not blame the Covid skippers though. That one was rushed through and then they tried to make it mandatory for everyone here with barely a whisper of effectiveness. I personally got the jab, but always thought that one should be a personal choice to get or not with hardly any testing behind it.
DeleteOur babies here still get one vaccine that is no longer given around the world and is potentially dangerous, so I understand avoiding that, but not everything.
