COLIN FIRTH TO LEAD
LOCKERBIE DRAMA FOR SKY
Sky and Peacock have set Colin Firth as the lead star of their new five part series LOCKERBIE as Dr Jim Swire, a man who tragically lost his daughter when Pan Am Flight 103 explodedover a
small town on December 21, 1988. Swire and his wife, Pam, have doggedly pursued justice ever since. The Lockerbie air disaster killed 259 passengers and crew, and a further 11 residents lost their life as the plane came down over the quiet Scottish town.
The series will see Swire nominated spokesperson for the UK victims’ families in the wake of the disaster, as they unite to demand truth and justice.
Travelling across continents and political divides, Swire embarks on a relentless journey that not only jeopardises his stability, family and life, but completely overturns his trust in the justice system. As the truth shifts under Jim’s feet, his view of the world is left forever sullied. Otto Bathurst is directing.

LOVE love Colin Firth :-) Now I wish we had SKY.
ReplyDeleteYou do have it over in Deutschland.
DeleteThat was such tragedy! And I love Colin Firth too.
ReplyDeleteIt is interesting that he was against the imprisonment of the Libyan who was arrested and jailed because he thought there was somebody else behind the hijack.
DeleteI think Colin Firth, whom I have liked very much for many years, will do great in this role. I would like to watch this series someday.
ReplyDeleteHe should do good, methinks.
DeleteTragic. I live by an airport. My morbid thoughts sometimes watch a plane fly over my house and think how awful it would be if any of them ever came crashing into our neighborhood. Hell, even a part breaking off of the plane could cause serious damage.
ReplyDeleteYou have an airport in such a small city? Our whole country only has two LOL
DeleteWe do. It's a small one though. Only like 5 terminals total in the whole thing. It's because we have Notre Dame college close by. You should see the line of private planes though on football game days. It's insane.
DeleteWe have had a sports airport but even that one is mostly ruined.
