Anna Chancellor) takes her under her wing to “refine” Sybylla and prepare her for marriage. Eager to move, it’s not long before Sybylla falls in love with life at Caddagat, where she meets Harold Beecham, the owner of

the neighboring estate, and thus the courtship begins. Much to Sybylla’s dismay, her family’s financial troubles force her to travel to Barney’s Gap, where she is to be the governess of the M’Swat household.

Ohh I had a dream that theycould turn this Australian classic into a miniseries. That would be lovely. I loved the film that turned Judy Davis and Sir Sam Neill into international stars
