SING ANIMATED SEQUEL
TO REGAL YOU NEXT CHRISTMAS
This Christmas is just over but we already know what will entertain you next one: December 22nd, 2021, is bringing us SING 2 the sequel to the super popular 2016 animated adventure. Buster (Matthew McConaughey) and
his cast have turned their theater into a local hit, but Buster has his eyes on a bigger prize: Debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City.
But with no connections, Buster and his cast, including harried mother pig Rosita (Reese Witherspoon), rocker porcupine Ash (Scarlett Johansson), earnest gorilla Johnny (Taron Egerton), shy elephant Meena (Tori Kelly) and, of course, porcine provocateur extraordinaire Gunter (Nick Kroll), have to sneak their way into the world-famous Crystal Entertainment offices, run by a ruthless mogul wolf named Jimmy Crystal (Bobby Cannavale).
In a desperate attempt to get his attention, Gunter spontaneously pitches an outrageous idea that Buster quickly runs with, promising that their new show will star lion rock legend Clay Calloway (Bono). Problem is, Buster has never met Clay, an artist who shut himself away from the world more than a decade ago after the loss of his
wife and hasn’t been seen since.
As Gunter helps Buster dream up an out-of-this-world theatrical masterpiece, and the pressure (and sinister threats) from Mr. Crystal mount, Buster embarks on a quest to find Clay and persuade him to return to the stage. What begins as Buster’s dream of big-time success becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most broken heart.

EXTINCT ANIMATED ADVENTURE
BRINGS US THE FLUMMELS!
Also posed to premiere sometime this year, if covid allows, is another animated adventure EXTINCT coming from directors David Silverman (The
Simpsons, Monster Inc) and Raymond S. Persi (The Simpsons, Wreck it Ralph)! Adam Devine, Rachel Bloom, Ken Jeong, Jim Jefferies, Steve Aoki, Catherine O'Hara, and the two directors themselves will lend their voices in the story which revolves around an adorable species of fluffy animals, called "Flummels". When two flummels are transported into the present day, they learn that their species has become extinct, and they must travel back in time to try to save their race. The film should open from February till April in parts of Europe, but no release date for UK or USA for now.
Extinct is arriving to theatres this year |
I think I really liked SING. I’ll be sure to check out the sequel.
ReplyDeleteWhy so the Flummels look like doughnuts?
I thought they looked like doughnuts too :) I bet that is how they sold the pitch to the studio - a film about fury doughnuts LOL
DeleteWhen my doughnuts get furry, it’s time to throw them out. Means they grew mold on them LOL
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Flummels smell like powder sugar and vanilla?
DeleteThat would be enough for me to snap one up. I do love the smell of baked goods!
DeleteI know you do :)
DeleteThese both look cute, but Sing 2 for the win! We really enjoyed the first one, although we were a little late at seeing it. We saw it for the first time last year.
ReplyDeleteHope it will be more dynamic than the first one.
