'THE CAPTURE' SERIES
IS GETTING A SECOND SEASON!
It was BBC's best series hit last year, just like Bodyguard was the year before that, and now THE CAPTURE will return for the second season with
USA premiere of the first season announced for July 15th with the opening of NBC's Peacock streaming service. The wildly exciting and dynamic hit series, starring Callum Turner and Holliday Grainger, dealt with a secret organization of high level agents who manipulate with surveillance camera recordings in order to wipe out their enemies. The second season story will be picking up from the end of Season 1 when Grainger's detective Carey seemingly joined forces with a shadowy correction team she had previously sought to expose. Did You Know?
Speaking of Callum Turner, he has finished a period set movie with Joe Alwyn, Felicity Jones and Ben Cross LAST LETTER FROM YOUR LOVER about a young journalist in London who becomes obsessed with a series of letters she discovers that recounts an intense star crossed love affair from the 1960s. Holliday Grainger is still leading STRIKE series at ITV and Cinemax, and will star in HALO OF STARS which is, starring Lily Collins, set against the backdrop of a small travelling circus, where a European clown and his 5-year-old daughter lead each other through the everyday mysteries of love, magic and loss.

Always somebody watching you. Kind of reminds of the line in Monster Inc. where the secretary says "I'm watching you Wazowski. Always watching!"
ReplyDeleteThis is not just always watching you but also manipulating with the video evidence, creating false truths which you cannot fight against. Special effects have or will soon reach that level in which they will be able to create a clip in which, lets say, Trump is having sex with the Korean president, and many people will believe it's truth.
DeleteOut of all them mention, Halo of Stars sounds the most intriguing to me! Maybe because it's such a different storyline.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a crazy fantasy movie, methinks.
DeleteSame as Jax. Halo of Stars sounds fun. I'll look forward to hearing more about that one or seeing a trailer for it soon.
ReplyDeleteDon't think we'll see it soon, some series have started production again abroad, but films will probably wait a bit longer. Outpost has started production on the third season here in my country, for example, but we are out of state of emergency.
DeleteMaybe this pandemic will finally give them time to come up with watchable shows and movies. They tend to keep spitting out crap in a hurry, so hopefully this gave them time to come up with good content for a change, something we can really look forward to once things return to normal.
DeleteThey will give you foreign series which might even enlighten your audience a bit and make them appreciate better quality of production, not that I'm an optimist about it.
