'LAST MAN STANDING'
CASTS KRISTA MARIE YU
Over at Fox, where one of our dearest ever multicam sitcoms has moved
this season, they also have new cast members. Tim Allen's LAST MAN
STANDING will see Mike Baxter left in the house alone with his wife
Vanessa (Nancy Travis), since his two older daughters are now both
married and youngest Eve is at academy. This will inspire Vanessa to
take a young scholar from China under her wing letting her stay with
them while she completes her schooling in the States. Krista Marie Yu
will play Jen who Vanessa feels particularly tied to because she’s
interested in geology and Vanessa’s always wanted to encourage
young
women to go into the sciences. Since she comes from a different
political system this will open some new fun discussions and conflicts
with Mike. Seventh season is back September 28th!
Krista Marie Yu will play the Chinese exchange student |
The Baxters are back September 28th, this time on Fox! |
'THE SANCHEZ WAY'
NEW SITCOM FROM KELLY RIPA AND MARK CONSUELOS
ABC is developing new half hour comedy produced by Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos. THE SANCHEZ WAY will follow a loud, proud, Mexican American family that lives by a very strict working class code.
Show centres on Pedro Sanchez, the patriarch of the family, whose code is threatened when his “fresa” brother-in-law (a Mexican yuppie) moves to town and wants to be part of the family. No word whether Kelly and Mark will star in the sitcom.
No word whether Kelly and Mark will also star in the new sitcom! |
I love "Will and Grace" and I'm looking forward to the new season!
ReplyDeleteHope they won't be offensively political like in the previous season. I prefer them when they go emotional like in that episode with Jack and his gay grandson.
DeleteWell, the joint efforts of wife and husband might render a successful comedy. The figure of the patriarch, the mexican Sanchez, sounds like a good source of comic situations. A great deal will depend, of course, on the comic talent of the cast members.
ReplyDeleteHope the two of them will star in it, they're such a lovely and funny couple.
DeleteI used to watch Kelly on Live when she cohosted with Regis, but when he retired from the show, so did I. She was quite charming though, I just lost interest when it took them so long to find a suitable replacement cohost. I do hope it's a fun comedy, something we have been lacking since LMS went off the air (but thankfully is returning!)
ReplyDeleteI used to watch Faith and Hope with her and her equally lovely sister who is also returning in Murphy Brown.
