'9JKL' CBS SITCOM
FROM MARK FEUERSTEIN
You will have to wait a bit longer to watch the second multi camera sitcom we're presenting today: 9JKL will launch on Monday, October 2nd, following The Big Bang Theory! This new comedy was created and
executive produced by Dana Klein and Mark Feuerstein, loosely based on the life of the couple, who are married in real life.
New comedy kicks its first season this October at CBS |
SANDWICHED BY THE FAMILY
The series chronicles Feuerstein's life as an actor when he lived in an apartment (residing in 9K), alongside his family who also lived in the same building, sandwiching him: his parents (in 9J) and his married
brother, sister-in-law, and newborn baby (in 9L). This unique situation
prompts him to set boundaries while bonding with his family members. In
the sitcom Mark Feuerstein stars as freshly divorced actor Josh Roberts
with Elliott Gould as his father Harry Roberts and
Linda
Lavin as his mother Judy Roberts!
David Walton plays his younger brother surgeon Andrew Roberts with Liza
Lapira as Eve Roberts his wife with whom he has kids. Matt Murray plays
the porter in the luxurious building they live in.

These both sound interesting. I'm thrilled we have Linda Lavin and Elliot Gould still. Seems so many great celebs have passed away the last few years. Thanks for commenting on my humble little blog so that I found you. Slick website!
ReplyDeletethanks for dropping by, glad to have you over! Yes, I don't know what will happen when the last of great comedians leave us :( Especially since the middle aged ones (Tim Allen, Fran Drescher) have been kicked out of the telly :(
DeleteHopefully these will fill the void from the good shows that got axed this year.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling Marlon will be axed after five episodes, sadly, and 9JKL might survive a whole season given the time slot and the fact it is on CBS
DeleteMarlon just didn't grab my attention like a comedy should with that little preview, but maybe it will find an audience.
DeleteI've seen the plots for first five eps and I think it will be funny. In the second episode she finds a stash of his things that he still keeps in her house and that sounds like a funny story :) We shall see. I really loved Uncle Buck last season on ABC it was really funny and beautiful on the eye, but they cancelled it and I'm ready to go diverse with this one now :)
DeleteThe cast in the Sandwiched by Family series is great.
ReplyDeleteHehe, that ain't the title of the sitcom :) It's 9JKL, stupid title, I admit indeed
DeleteI agree with Lee - looks like a strong cast :)
ReplyDeletehope they don't overdo it with moma and poppa
DeleteMarlon seems funny!
ReplyDeleteI do adore Marlon Wayans and his brothers too
