NICHOLAS HOULT TO PLAY THE FATHER OF MIDDLE EARTH?
A piece of movie news that stormed the net yesterday, about Finnish movie maker Dome Karukoski directing a movie about famous
Hoult is also Nikola Tesla in The Current War
JRR TOLKIEN, the author of mankind's most beloved epic fantasy tale Lord of the Rings, is today getting a new angle, as the speculations that young Nicholas Hoult might be playing him, have started spreading around the web. 'The Hollywood Reporter' says that he is already negotiating with Fox Searchlight and Chernin Entertain- ment who are producing. This is interesting since Hoult is already playing another writer in his youth - J.D. Salinger in upcoming biopic Rebel in the Rye! TOLKIEN will take place at the outset of WWI following the orphaned author as he befriends a group of outsiders at school just in time for the war to threaten to tear them apart. As you know, the man who invented the Middle Earth was the author of The Hobbit, Silmarilion and Lord of the Rings sagas which became Hollywood blockbusters.

There certainly are a lot of big names in The Star. I didn't think the trailer looked horrible, but if it went straight to DVD, it wouldn't surprise me. I didn't see any laugh out loud humor in it.
