While we are waiting to see her as Tolkien's darling wife next to always charming Nicholas Hoult as the father of the Lord of the Rings, lovely Lily Collins will first have to survive a terrible ordeal and angry Momma Nature!

She will star in Austin Bunn's movie TITAN as Emma, a strong willed young musician on a quest to understand the life of her environmental activist older sister, who was killed years before in a tragic fall. Emma seeks out Justin, a former member of the movement, who reluctantly agrees to take her to the same remote redwood grove that claimed her sister. Emma soon finds herself in serious peril, forced to face off with Mother Nature in a relentless fight for survival.

Amazon is searching for a major sf show

New sf shows are arriving to Amazon! They will develop series out of Jonathan Hickman's graphic novels EAST OF WEST and TRANS HUMAN! He will produce the shows himself. EAST OF WEST is set in a Western landscape where America is divided into seven nations. As 'Deadline' reports today, this iconic science fiction series follows “Death” as he braves his fellow riders, monsters, and corrupt gunslingers in his quest to save his mortal family from the Apocalypse. TRANSHUMAN is a sf drama set in the near future. The story revolves around a divorced couple, who ran rival major corporations, offering humans the ability to genetically and robotically enhance themselves.

In other interesting casting news from the movie world today, 'Variety' has reported that Oscar winner Michelle Williams has joined another Oscar winner Julianne Moore in the North American movie remake of AFTER THE WEDDING! Bringing a different take on the original Danish movie directed by Susanne Bier’s this new English language version will have two leading female characters instead of the male ones. The story follows Isabel (Michelle Williams), who runs a dilapidated orphanage outside of Calcutta, and who travels to New York to meet the New York millionaire (Julianne Moore) who has provided money for the orphanage. After the millionaire’s wedding to which she was invited, a mystery unravels!

I don't have much for you today, but what I do have is super scary! First trailer has been released for new science fiction action drama THE TITAN

The Titan was directed by Lennart Ruff

with Sam Worthington as a superhuman futuristic soldier! The movie which also stars Tom Wilkinson and Taylor Schiling should be out in cinemas this April.

Hotshot Air Force pilot, Rick Janssen (Sam Worthington), is chosen for a military experiment that will create a human being capable of surviving the harsh environments of Saturn's moon, TITAN. The experiment is successful, turning Rick into a super human, but it also creates deadly side effects which threatens the life of Rick, his wife and family, and possibly humanity itself.

Did you know that this is Sam Worthington's third film with Titan in its title after Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans! And all three were shot in the Canary Islands!

SAM WORTHINGTON JOINED BY TAYLOR SCHILLING

Earlier this year I informed you that our fave Australian hunk Sam Worthington has taken the lead role in sf movie THE TITAN and now he is joined by Taylor Schilling! The movie, which will also have Tom Wilkinson and Sofia Boutella in the cast, is set in a not too distant future, following the journey of a military family that is relocated to take part in a groundbreaking experiment of man’s genetic evolution into space. Before doing three new AVATARs, Sam Worthington will also play the lead role in the movie adaptation of the famous novel THE SHACK next to Olivia Spencer as God and famous Native American actor Graham Greene.

LEE DANIEL'S 'STAR' SERIES

CASTS BENJAMIN BRATT, QUEEN LATIFAH, NICHOLAS GONZALES  
In TV news, beside their groundbreaking drama EMPIRE, Fox is looking to develop their cooperation with its creator Lee Daniels with another music series! With the working title STAR, it already has Nicholas Gonzales, Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt in the cast! The story follows three young women (Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny, Brittany O’Grady) who form a girl group with hope of making it big in the music industry, and the choices they face along the way. Nicholas Gonzales will play an abusive foster father of one of them, Benjamin Bratt will be a talent manager who believes in their success, while Queen Latifah will be beauty salon owner who is also their surrogate mother.

Warner Bros. has revealed first photo and teaser from their September 2016 animated movie STORKS about those birds who deliver babies... or at least they used to. Now they deliver packages for global internet giant! But the plot of the film might bring them back to their ancestral purpose. Kelsey Grammer leads the voice cast!
